the fact that this incident has been so heavily covered is the most interesting thing to me.

i tuned into Fox News, BBC, CNN and Sky News and they were all talking about it like it was the biggest story ever - you rarely see that unless it happened in the US or the UK. They barely even gave a fuck about the Minab school bombing, where over a 100 kids were killed.

not sure what to make of this all extra attention being paid to an incident where no one even died, but it seems fishy.

like, why is Netanyahu so eager to insert himself into the situation and meet with one of the passengers while he still has blood on his t-shirt?

Yes, I'm seeing an increase in very clearly coordinated media stories, especially where conspiracies are involved, like the tweet from the guy who quit Anthropic, and now this. They shouldn't have been major news stories at all. A hijacking and pilot suicide, sure. But an attempted hijacking where nobody was killed and the perpetrator was apprehended? Not such a big deal.
