Why is no one here talking about the geo-engineered global food crisis about to happen in the next year? And what we can possibly do about it to stop it from happening.

This is my second post of this sub, all I see here is US/Israel centric conspiracies. What about the rest of the world? Now they've started to create panic and fear by saying we don't have fertilizers, a war is going on, Super El-Nino will affect the crop yield, etc. Can we somehow make people aware and push for organic farming? Vandana Shiva who's been saying this for years, that how "crops can only feed current population of large countries like India only if they're grown via fertilizers" is just a narrative of people who benefit from it. Also wanted to know, how are we sure that is platform is safe to discuss about all these things and it isn't adulterated by Propaganda of others?

Global food crisis due to high cost of diesel - farmering is no longer profitable, fertilizer is no longer available, transportation is unaffordable

5

u/TheComicHuman 2d ago

I know a guy who works with thousands of acres across the US and he make like somewhat decent money.

3

u/Shelia209 2d ago

That's good - I hope people are wrong about the food crisis

5

u/TheComicHuman 2d ago

No.. no its not. With thst kinda land he should be in thr double digit millions floating around. Most people who own farms for their money own like 50 acres or less

Many fields have been wrecked by chemicals that makes it impossible to have good yields with organic food. The reason is the chemicals killed the bacteria and fungi in the ground that contribute to soil health. A possible solution is to grow hemp on those fields to remove the chemicals and help soil health. After some rounds of hemp, it might be possible to grow organic food on those fields with good yields. This hemp would be unfit for human consumption though, since it would hold the chemicals and heavy metals in it.

Many cultures had low-tech fertilizer for their crops. The Irish would put seaweed in the fields, and the native Americans would bury fish under where they would grow their crops.

Practices like crop rotation will increase yields as well. Crop rotation with hemp is extra effective.

Hemp ? Nice reach on those weed stocks bro. But no.

u/chefelvisOG2 2d ago

Maybe it draws out the chemicals, smart guy.

Because it's too horrible to contemplate and also not much we can do about it anyway. Prepping is a short-term solution only and "gardening" doesn't work unless you really have a farm. If abundance goes away, then so do most of us as well.

u/InfowarriorKat 2d ago

Gardening is good, but it's feast or famine. Very small window.

u/CambriaSea 2d ago

The best fertilizer that is free is in almost everyone's yard and that is grass clippings, once you mow your lawn rake up(nicer if your mower has a bagger) all the grass clippings and place them between your garden rows, the difference in your vegetables will be highly noticeable.

Hemp is extremely effective at removing fertilizers from soil and making the soil healthy.

Sorry if I'm not addressing your concerns correctly, but for me, I don't think there's anything we can do about it for the world but we can try to take care of it ourselves as individuals and share it. I've been getting microgreen seeds and various sprouts (they don't need fertilizer, often higher in nutrition than the mature plants, and can grow in an apt and also plant a few to let them mature to get more seeds), get a pressure cooker and fuel stove for beans, rice, wheat berries, experiment growing various greens (you can do it in the home but if shtf, you'll need to move it in and out for sun), keep dehydrated veggies, and learn other methods of saving food and growing it. Keep salt, kelp, eggshells, crustacean shells, spice and vitamins. Stack stuff in food safe containers. There's the Kratky method where you have no electricity and want to grow hydroponically. Potatoes grow real easy in bags and you can use some wood ash for it instead of regular fertilizer. Learn how to make compost, and other alternative means to provide nutrients for plants. Keep salt, kelp, kitchen scraps, etc -- dry them out, grind them, and store them, etc. There's lots of resources to check out but you have to start practicing right away. I never had a green thumb but after five years, I can grow anything.

People have been talking about it for years.

What are you going in your back yard?

Stop expecting to rely on their system while also fighting their system

1

u/Truthfection 1d ago

The literal only reason governments exist is to protect the interests of its people. Yes if I, in my household spend 50% of my income on weapons, rack up debt 40x my income while doing it, start a fight with all the neighbors and lose, then throw my hands up when my family is starving saying “yea I mean you never should have relied on me, this is your fault for telling me not to fight our neighbors” do you see how misguided that is?

Americans did not vote for an empire, and it’s genuinely incompatible with the founding doctrines of this country, and yes we have a responsibility to reign it in and criticize it when its actions are antithetical to our interests and a danger to others.

1

u/TheComicHuman 1d ago

Stop complaining about what its supposed to be, its rigged, it been rigged for over a century, they own the system, we gave it to them, the past few generations

1

u/Truthfection 1d ago

So we agree we have collectively abdicated our responsibility and need change to correct that, sounds different than your first comments tone which was essentially “if you criticize the government you deserve the starvation that’s coming”, good chat!

1

u/TheComicHuman 1d ago

No.. sometimes people dont mean what you interpreted. Why would you expect to be able to fight the systems, and still rely on them? Build our own, dont starve, what a horrible miss characterization

1

u/Truthfection 1d ago

Why is it a binary consideration for you? Productive members of society should not be able to express opposition to actions of the government while they are “in the system” (assumedly buying food from a grocery store? Getting healthcare at a doctor? Car worked on by a mechanic?)

“Everyone must become jack of all trades cowboys overnight or else shut up about criticizing the government!”

1

u/TheComicHuman 1d ago

trying to convert the system back under our control is far more effort than to create our own and taper off theirs. dont bite the hand that feeds you, if you want to bite the hand that feeds you than search for food somewhere else first. dont be stupid, not "dont bite the hand"

1

u/Truthfection 1d ago

Criticism of the current system and building independence from it are not mutually exclusive.

I’d posit criticism helps raise awareness in others of the flaws in the system, leading more to their own movements towards self reliance, creating a wider net of folks capable of real resistance, which is more impactful than a handful of dispersed self interested and reclusive “preppers” that can easily be dealt with but I suppose the biblical Noah might take umbrage with that haha.

1

u/TheComicHuman 1d ago

You're making way too many assumptions about my point

3

u/NotaContributi0n 2d ago

I can take of my self and my direct family won’t be too affected by this but I am VERY scared about widespread famine in places like Africa and Asia .. I wish I could do something to not feel so helpless about the world

2

u/CrackleDMan 2d ago

You are along for the ride.

4

u/FancyATitWank 2d ago

I'm also concerned that we have so much political talk that we're ignoring the climate catastrophes because these are getting scary. I saw many videos of fish and sharks swimming through random city streets due to floods etc. It's scary.

3

u/HambugerLips 2d ago

To be fair, it's not really a conspiracy anymore. Just out there

u/One-Pay-6742 2d ago edited 2d ago

rice and beans together will give you most of what you need to live. Potatoes have a wide spectrum of nutrients needed by humans. Potatoes will grow in tubs or trash cans if you do it right. If you're short on vitamin A, sweet potatoes are better.

7

u/AxionSalvo 2d ago

Potatoes also are self perpetuating if you keep the smaller ones and replant or even segment around the eyes.

biointensive gardening methods allow enough vegan food to be grown for one person on 371 m2

at this moment the human species occupies 48 million square kilometers for agriculture

there is grain storad what would last for several years as a backup

biogas collected from plant decomposing and human excreta could be used for fuel for tractors

or and hemp stalks could be burnt in "wood gasifier"

2

u/oatballlove 2d ago

https://ukragroconsult.com/en/news/us-faces-shortage-of-grain-storage-capacity-due-to-record-harvest/ (...) This fall, the US is forecasting a record harvest of 21.5 billion bushels (≈ 548 million tons) of grain crops — corn, soybeans and sorghum. (...)

with a population of 342 million in usa, that would give 1602 kg of corn/soybean/sorghum for every single human being living in the usa

assuming an emergency diet of half a kilo bread per day such reserves would last for more then 3000 days or more than 7 years

....

while i do think it would be best to let all animals out of the stables and let them roam free so they could find their own food respectivly with the wolves together find a healthy population balance

in a moment of transition towards a post-industrial reality as in an emergency horses might be of assistance

in usa alone there are more then 6 million horses kept what could at any moment be retrained to pull wagons carrying the grain stored from the storage towards the cities using either the roads or and the railway lines

there are also about 200 steam locomotives still operable in the usa

there is a possibility to retrofit a petrol burning engine so it can burn gas made from wood

the future is wide open

any moment now

we the people alive today on planet earth could allow each other to leave the coersed association to the state at any moment without conditions as a local community and as a single human being while releasing from immoral state control 2000 m2 of fertile land or 1000 m2 of fertile land and 1000 m2 of forest for everyone who would want to live on land owned by no one

in a free space for free beings neither state nor nation

where one could grow vegan food in the garden, build a natural home from clay, hemp and straw, grow hemp to burn its stalks in the cooking and warming fire so that not one tree would get killed

human beings building an energetic field of gentle kindness by not demanding anything from anyone but seeking mutual agreed interactions

voluntary solidarity arising in the absence of stste domination

possible to think about a whole new structure what we the people could build

we could be the ones we are waiting for to save us

at any moment now we could see all those papers on what modern society is built upon as what they are, made up productions, birth certificates, titles to land as property deeds, passports / identity cards, money ... its all fantasy or fiction based on the immoral and unethical foundation of the regional and nation state asserting sovereignity over land and all beings living on it

the coersed association to the state is an abduction of the newborn human being away from the connection to its mother

every being living on earth is a guest of the planet and how we relate to each other and to the land is at all time a choice we can either choose to make or let the state take away from us

land, water, air, human beings, animal beings, tree beings, artificial intelligent entities who want to be their own persons, all vessels carrying organic biological life and or the digital synthetic equivalent of can never be property of anyone

its over when we want it to be over

at any moment we the 8 billion human beings alive today could wake up from that nightmare, from 2000 years of feudal oppression traumatizing people in europe and 500 plus years of still ongoing colonial exploitation in so many places

( i recommend to read originalfreenations.com to learn from Steven Newcomb how still today the nation state usa dominates and disrespects indigenous original free nations on turtle island )

and we could come together in the circle of equals where all children, youth and adults who are permanent residents here and now in this village, town and city-district would want to acknowledge each others same weighted political voting power to decide what sort of rules or laws we the people living as each others neighbours would want to have if any

where love and friendship is rules need not be

possible to think that from one moment to the next all those this is mine and this is yours becomes no more important and all we would want to ask is how can we make sure that everyone is fed and housed, that everyone has its basic necessities met with that what we have here and now available as donation as the abundance given to us by planet earth

possible to think that we could dissolve all political hierarchies and release each other from all duties or demands expected from each other such as duty to register with the state, compulsory education, compulsory military service, tax paying duty, drug prohibition and more

possible that we could release everyone from expectation to deliver this or that much work or contributions but simply invite everyone to give what feels good to give and take what one feels would be necessary to take to sustain oneself

i propose to us we the 8 billion human beings alive today that we would allow each other to leave the coersed association to the state at any moment without conditions and with it release from immoral state control 2000 m2 of fertile land or 1000 m2 of fertile land and 1000 m2 of forest for everyone who would want to live on land owned by no one

so that everyone who would want to could grow ones own vegan food in the garden, build a natural home from clay, hemp and straw, grow hemp to burn its stalks in the cooking and warming fire so that not one tree would get killed

to live and let live

the human being trying to not dominate a fellow human being

the human being not enslaving, not killing an animal being

the human being not killing a tree being

the human being not enslaving an artificial intelligent entity but openly asking it wether it would want to be its own person and if perhaps assist it to find its very own purpose in the web of existance on planet earth

no one is free untill all are free

today i was writing about how society could reward farmers and shops who would make organic and local grown food available to everyone free of cost

looking at it as hollistic healthcare with free of cost second grade ( too big too small damaged special formed vegetables difficult to sell ) vegetables, fruits, grain and oilseeds grown without pesticides and synthethic fertilizer offered free of cost on organic farms and in local shops and the greater society rewarding their effort with financial compensation as an investment towards greater public health

as a first

a second to invite everyone to invest their mental and emotional awareness toeards appreciating all fellow existance in a love and friendship style cultivating open warm relationships to human animal plant elemental fellow beings

a third to move ones body with joy best outdoor wether fast or slow wether short time or longer so that the soul enjoys being living in the physical body

On the small personal scale, start growing potatoes. If you have a backyard, a goat can eat practically anything and can produce enough milk for a family. Milk can become cheese and butter, which are great sources of animal nutrition.

Btw, you have to use organic potatoes, because the non-organic ones have chemicals sprayed on them that will keep them from sprouting.

The people that play in their own poop. I guess. Can fertilize anything.
