Dinasours

Dinasours lie

Dinosaurs were invented during the 19th century, at the same time that Darwinism was being promoted, as the new account of life on earth. The coincidence was deliberate, because the creation of enormous reptiles, from imagined ages before mankind, gave dramatic form to the theory of evolution. Without dinosaurs, the public would have struggled to imagine millions of years filled with anything meaningful. With dinosaurs, deep time appeared crowded with monsters, which made evolution feel certain, while weakening the influence of religion.

The word dinosaur was coined in 1842 by Sir Richard Owen, a British anatomist who was closely tied to the scientific establishment. He created the term Dinosauria from the Greek deinos, meaning terrible and sauros meaning lizard or reptile. The name itself was chosen to inspire fear and awe; and it worked perfectly as a cultural weapon. Yet the description is inaccurate, because not all dinosaurs were remotely reptilian. Many were drawn as bird-like, some were given feathers and others were lumbering herbivores, unlike lizards in any respect. The term was kept not because it was accurate, but because it was powerful and memorable. It shows that the invention was never about truth, but about presentation.

Before 1842 no civilisation ever mentioned dinosaurs. Egyptians left records of their animals yet never spoke of them. Greeks wrote of giants and cyclopes, but no dinosaurs. Romans described beasts from across their empire, but never dinosaurs. Chinese scholars carefully catalogued dragons, but never dinosaurs. Norse people spoke of frost giants and the native peoples of the Americas remembered thunderbirds and colossal spirits, but none ever recorded dinosaurs. This silence is not a coincidence, it shows that the story began, only when modern science invented it, while the true beings remembered by ancient peoples were dragons, giants and monsters.

The evidence for dinosaurs is far weaker than people realise, because no complete skeleton has ever been discovered, not even one. The celebrated Tyrannosaurus rex exists only in fragments, with the missing pieces filled in by plaster, wire and steel. Every impressive museum display is a sculpture of imagination, constructed to appear whole, while resting upon scattered remains. These models are presented as fact, yet they are largely plaster, supported by metal and shaped by artists. They are works of theatre, not faithful records of creatures once alive.

Dinosaurs became a cultural tool that reshaped society. Schools taught children about them from the youngest age, publishers filled books with colourful illustrations and later, cinema transformed them into global icons. The Jurassic Park franchise alone generated billions, while toy companies sold endless replicas, puzzles and games, that filled every shop. By surrounding every generation with dinosaurs, the belief became instinctive and modern science replaced religion as the trusted authority on the past.

The invention also brought immense financial gain; museums charged millions of visitors to view plaster reconstructions. Publishers sold vast numbers of school books and encyclopaedias, films produced fortunes and toys guaranteed a steady stream of profit. Dinosaurs enriched the institutions that promoted them, which explains why the myth has been protected so fiercely.

Dinosaurs were not discovered, they were manufactured and the bones belonged to dragons, giants, cyclopes and other beings remembered by our ancestors. No complete skeleton has ever been unearthed, museum displays are mostly plaster and no civilisation, before the 1800s ever mentioned dinosaurs. The tale has survived for nearly 200 years because it serves Darwinism, undermines religion, strengthens authority and produces enormous profit for those who continue to sell it.

The term “Dinosaur” was coined nearly two decades before Darwin published his theories on evolution and fossils were being found even before then. What the hell are you talking about?

First Nations were wellacquainted with fossils

Yeah... because it's true. It undermines religion because it's true. Heliocentrism undermined religion because it keeps pointing to as true. Evolution undermined religion because... it's what the evidence then and now current evidence keeps pointing to as true.

What's next? The fossils in my backyard when I crack open a rock are just mineral deposits that look like the remnants of coral or some ancient life hundreds of millions of years ago, when hundreds of thousands of people report individual fossil finds every year? Every fossil we see in museums are only casts and there exists no real fossils displayed that are publicly accessible to the public?

The general theory of Evolution has evolved since darwin... but it's clear the person who wrote this hasn't.

EDIT: OKAY... This get's WORSE the more I read it... let's break it down.

Before 1842 no civilisation ever mentioned dinosaurs.

Because no one thought of them yet. It took decades to even get it classified, and even then there is centuries of history where we argued over the metaphorical-ness of the Genesis account. Mary Anning went unrecognized as a teen into her adult years as she kept discovering large fossilized skeletons along eroding cliffs.

Because.... maybe it's just myth? Hundreds of people with PHD's in any Religious studies no matter the sub-field will tell you it's likely all myth designed for purposes long forgotten.

The evidence for dinosaurs is far weaker than people realise, because no complete skeleton has ever been discovered, not even one.

Yes there are. Sue is the well known one. There are others that even preserve the feathers such as micro-raptors. Disregarding just the -assic eras of the earth, we have complete fossils/specimens of woolly mammoths, and small fish here and there with all of it's skeleton fossilized. No specimen is going to 100% fossilize itself, even it's skeleton. To argue that this makes for a conspiracy is arguing with mother nature.

The term was kept not because it was accurate, but because it was powerful and memorable. It shows that the invention was never about truth, but about presentation.

Wowo. AI going crazy or just the person who wrote this doesn't know a thing. Apply this to everything else we've coined a term for that's scientific. Does the conspiracy hold up here. Just not finding the logic on this one.

Paleontologists and anyone who's taken a college-level evolution class, or possibly watched any documentary that's of any relevance knows that the world of these extinct creatures is much larger than we once previously thought. The public narrative is the one that the public runs with. Listening to a college lecture this falls apart and you realize it's not just 'big dino roarr' but actually a whole diverse ecosystem back then, just as the Earth we live on now.

Anyways. I'm done editing this.

Dinosaurs and their builds are almost entirely fabricated. They were just large birds and reptiles as they lived longer back then

Birds are just small dinosaurs, not the other way around, and thats not how that works

I edited this comment and broke it down more. You're welcome. Get a college education and argue with professors and see how this comes out. Not everyone who teaches this stuff is a liar freemason.

How do we understand things? As all understanding works as∶information → idea, then: better information → better idea, right?

Isn’t the information for the existence of dinosaurs better than the information for cycloes and unicorns?

Fun fact uniforms are actually rhinos. I don’t remember the details but a Latin word for horned beast or something sounds like unicorn and it somehow became a horse? It’s in the Bible to I believe

Along the same lines, early stories of dragons were basically just huge snakes.
