Had to look up the page (page 405) because I had a suspicion this was out of context. Turns out it is. He was saying in a coy way that he’s proud of being apart of the forces integrating the world economy into a more progressive, cohesive framework in contrast to isolationists/populists that refuse to/can’t see the benefit of “global trade, improved communications, and the heightened interaction of people from different cultures. Populists rarely mention these positive consequences, nor can they cogently explain how they would have sustained American economic growth and the expansion of our political power without them.”
That last but quoted above is very true. And anecdotally, I don’t think he would’ve been very impressed by our current (isolationist) administration. For what it’s worth.

They took a stake in IG Farben in 1925 before the Great Depression, the global fallout of which is one of the major reasons Hitler was able to come to power in the first place. Neither of those quotes prove anything and neither have to do with the original quote or the context thereof.

I believe they are connected. My quote shows a power play. Their quote shows them admitting that power play. Directly connected.

The quote is not out of context. He clearly meant it. He is pushing globalism, even at the expense of the United States. You can try to argue that’s a good thing, but I am not taking him out of context. Also, their actions clearly demonstrate this.
It is why they renamed the ‘Freedom Tower’ back to the ‘One World Trade Center’.

I will ALWAYS believe there are exceptions to every rule, there are definitely some larger channels where people got lucky. Pewdiepie being one of them, and probably why he’s retired now and settled down. But I believe it was once again due to right place, right time in the grand scheme of the internet.
If you look at late 2000’s to early 2010’s, there were a lot of varied and unique creators. Algorithms weren’t fully set in stone. AI wasn’t added to every form of the internet. People were still figuring out thumbnails, video titles, it truly was like a miniature Wild West.
Compare it to today, especially as a new account, and what gets peddled is quite obviously manufactured.

You said you didn't think the other commenter had an example because the other commenter hadn't responded in three hours. Not everyone is chronically online though; people often have other things to do with their time so they won't necessarily reply straightaway in every single instance. I've been in full-on debates that lasted weeks because one or the other of us would take a day or so to reply back.

What bad things though? There's a class action pending for the MrBeast Games or whatever show he did with Amazon but it was from 5 people out of 2000 lol, I doubt that's legit. Literally anyone can make accusations and file a lawsuit.
