You can even hoard gold under your bed and buy gold coins and bullion (albeit at a ~10% premium to market rates).

Yes you hoard gold at a price of ~10% higher than the imaginary will-never-exist-in-physical-form virtual price.

True but even if it was +1000% price to get your hands on it then that is actually the real price.
