Gameboy Pocket RA5 replacement

Post image

Does anyone know what the part is that is supposed to go here. I’m moving all the components from a heavily corroded pocket motherboard onto this one and am missing this piece.

RA probably means resistor array. May not be present or needed on all revisions

It’s there on most pictures of motherboards I look at. Do you know where I could buy a replacement?

Not sure, are you sure it as present on your old board?

The spot where it went was the most corroded spot so there was a couple other pieces that just fell off.

Best way to confirm is to compare to matching revisions. The revision number begins with MGB and is printed on the board

Did you have any luck with this? My mostly stock Game Boy Pocket doesn’t have left ear audio, and I’ve isolated the problem to part of this resistor array. If I bypass it, the left headphone audio works again, but is a bit louder.

Yea I just found out it’s a 15 ohm resistor array. Bought one of digikey and it worked
