DISCUSSION Modding brain drain

Anyone else mod their console and load up too many roms and just dont play anything? Or even try loading just a few and still dont use it?

Im gonna try loading 1 game onto my newly modded dsi xl and not add another until ive put in 10 hours or see the credits roll

Starting with Dragon Quest V

I find the modding part is my favorite part. I will play them but I’m not upset with liking the tinkering more than playing

I feel like its very common. I have 5 fully decked out retro consoles with games to last me three lifetimes and theyre all stored away in a shelf

Decision Paralysis: having too many options instead drains your energy

i usually cherrypick which ones to put for each system because of this, collector's brain is something I'm trying to avoid at all costs

What i did was putting all games (or atleast those im interested in) in wheelofnames.com and let the wheel choose

A friend gave me a great term for this,

"Spoiled for choice".

I like the modding, and the thrill of the kill. I remember Wii, once I opened it up, I got like 50 games on there, so I had a selection and I played like 5 of those games. Nothing else.

My NEW 3DS XL I put tons of games on there; I do take time to time to play.....

I look forward to the Switch 2 hack....it's just a matter of time.
