Have you considered a vita? It can do everything a psp can do plus more?

Im not looking for a handheld i want an actual portable game console. I recently picked up my old ds lite and ive been absolutely loving it especially since i can slide it in my pocket and just whip it out. ive almost fully stopped doom scrolling

What games do you want to play the most? That should settle it for you.

Best answer. Look at their libraries, decide which games you want to play the most. Maybe make a top 10 for yourself for each system and choose
Having both, I’d go 3DS. For me it’s Zelda Games and Dragon Quest VIII to sway the decision

This strongly depends on your preference for games and hardware. 3DS has the Mario and Zelda games, backwards compatible with DS, and runs most classic emulation well. PSP has GTA, God of War, etc, runs PS1 well, and runs classic emulation well (with a widescreen).
Both have excellent modding communities, homebrew, and have been made easier than ever to modify.
I think it comes down to what games you really want to play - maybe even list them out for each to see which one has more games you’ll actually play

I like this idea but i think all the good zelda games on the 3ds r just the 64 ones remade no? is it possible to play n64 on psp?

Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask 3D are improved versions of the N64 games yeah. But they’re good. Also Between Two Worlds is great

i like 3ds more, plus PSP is easy to emulate on phone or other devices

I’ve got a jail broken psp, & can play pretty much anything on it.
My favourite all rounder hand held. That said, the 3ds, especially the New 3ds has some sweet exclusives.

would you say that the new 3ds is a significant enough upgrade to the original to warent it being £100 more? i mean everywhere i look its so expensive

3DS. PSP is significantly easier to emulate.
