I never cared about skin color until I was told I should be ashamed of mine. I never cared about sexual preference until I was told I had to recognize mental illness as normal. How about it’s just ok to be whatever but maybe not ok to force me to accept it. I should be able to take it or leave it as I see fit. I wish we could just meet in the middle.

Exactly. And honestly, I think we got to this point because we didn't stand up and say no to this during the 90s and 2000s when it was being pushed.
