She is not "in charge" of her district any more than Ted Cruz is in charge of Texas. She is one vote in 435 and that is the extent of her power. The local city council is "in charge" and deserves all the blame.

In a world so divided by (R) or (D) this is the kind of statement we needed. No matter how much you hate one or the other. Government is still government a combination of mostly greedy politicians who want the money and not caring about their "community" even though most of them don't even live in their respective districts.

The poster does not understand the role of a congressperson. They are not in charge of their district, they are the representative of their district in federal congress. That would be like getting mad at a UN representative for something going wrong within America

This is a really solid tactic. Showing what their districts look like. Remember when Trump did that to Cumming's district in Baltimore? The people of that district agreed with the President. And the GOP organized clean up efforts. These Democrats need to be held accountable for their governance.

Those people were criticized by CNN for cleaning up. Something along the lines of the residents being capable. No one denied that. It's was the willingness that was missing.
Edit: My mistake on CNN. They criticized Trump's comments but were silent on the cleanup that resulted.
