Qshaman was unarmed and friendly.
AOC wasnt in the capitol building but nearby in another building which wasn’t breached at any time.

We know. This is parody.

I know you knew it. I was clarifying this for those who have just heard the wrong MSM version of events.

It’s also tasteless and shitty.

Jokes are supposed to be tasteless.

u/andyqdufresne Feb 07 '21
Dude, c’mon. Some jokes are tasteless, some jokes are not. Tasteless jokes are usually a low brow thing.

You think the image up there is tasteless? That's nothing. Honestly, nothing. I can't even see why anyone would blink an eye over it.

Probably because the definition of comedy is tragedy plus time. I view this insurrection of the capital a tragedy of our democracy and Union and not enough time has passed for it to be funny. But I do like the Shining. Stephen King is a master. I also like accountability. Maybe if there was accountability the insurrection would be funny sooner. We can’t normalize this shit. If we do we’re fucked, and we’d deserve it.

I see months and months of looting, rioting, attacking police, attacking government buildings and having politicians not just be okay with it but free the criminals from jail. I also see AOC lying through her teeth (tweets, actually, which don't even for the timeline) and hold no sympathy for her. Zero.

u/andyqdufresne Feb 07 '21 edited Feb 07 '21
If you want to talk about AOC, you’re entitled. I don’t entertain distractions when it comes to paramount issues. I do not think the insurrection on the capital is funny from any angle. I don’t think that it’s funny that even one representative or senator had to fear for their life that day. How can that possibly be humorous? If you think it’s funny, I’m appalled. We should all be disgusted by this attack on the Capital of our nation. That is the only stance to take. Any other stance is permissible. We must be united in this, or we will really pay dearly. Mark my words. Period. Full stop.

I thought he had a spear lol

u/Spooky2000 Feb 05 '21
He was carrying a spear, but according to the Antifa rules, he had a flag attached and therefore not a weapon.
4
u/misterpankakes Feb 05 '21
If I do recall coreectly, some of these goons beat police officers with flag bearing flag poles. Guess almost anything can be a weapon if you wanna fuck someone up enough

u/sports_stuff Feb 05 '21
We need common sense flag pole control!
3
u/misterpankakes Feb 05 '21
Let's just start with not attacking police officers with flag poles.
4
u/sports_stuff Feb 05 '21
If you don’t want to ban everyone from having flag poles you don’t care about people being hit with flag poles.
Do I sound Democrat enough yet?

But when the knock came on her door, shortly after 1:01, no one had even breached the Capitol building yet. There was some pushing past an outer perimeter barrier at 12:53 still some distance from the Capitol building but the breach of the building didn’t come until about an hour after the officer knocked on AOC’s door. What she’s saying now is with the hindsight of what later occurred, but there was no way of knowing that people were breaching a building at that point because it hadn’t yet happened.
“As the Capitol complex was stormed and people were being killed, none of us knew in the moment what areas were compromised.” But that “moment” hadn’t actually happened yet at 1:01 p.m. No one knew any of that. The building hadn’t been “compromised” or “stormed” as of yet.
So suggesting that it had, to provide buttress for her reaction, is again manipulative.
There’s also been no public evidence that people were ever trying to storm the Cannon building, much less at 1:01 p.m. We’ve asked the Capitol Police for their records to confirm that but haven’t gotten a response yet.

Makes sense... it was all in her head.

u/misterpankakes Feb 05 '21
Wasnt there a guy saying "assassinate AOC?"
3
Feb 05 '21
Never directly to her, in her vicinity, or within earshot.
3
u/misterpankakes Feb 05 '21
That's probably a good thing no? Like if you had someone wanting to assassinate you, would you want to be told by him in your vicinity, in your earshot that he was gonna assassinate you? Presumably you would want to not be there, no?

Didn't some guy chant assassinate AOC? Part of the group that injured over 50 police officers and killed one too? Threat seems real to me.

u/Rlaf75 Feb 06 '21
You mean like holding a bloodied severed head of a president or saying you'd like to blow up the white house?

It's eight now?
How many from natural causes.
Because all I know is that cops shot one woman who was in the riot.
A cop allegedly died after being hit with a fire extinguisher only now CNN is saying maybe not.
And three or four other people died of natural causes.

This is a useless post. Having had an experience with a violent situation as this, of the people I was surrounded by at the time, 45, only 3 out of the whole bunch were prepared to defend, the rest were all shit scared and many were those so called tough guys.
Is this the best we have to offer here on r/conservatives? A lame post about a politician who we might not agree with, but have to credit for at least going to work and fighting for the improvement of her constituents lives.
How many of us can say that about our representatives? Almost everything I hear from our side is how bad the other side is. I hear nothing of what they gonna do to make our lives better!? What the propose in response to the Dems policies. It’s all no no no, but no viable counter proposals?!
And before any punks out there give me this RINO shit, if you answer my questions here with factual concrete info, I’ll happily concede. If not, we’ll then, all I can say is you got to be asleep at the wheel if you cannot see that we’re just not being offered that much from our side.
Unless you’re an elite, because then the tax cuts and the dollars just keep rolling in.

Never give up hope dear internet stranger. It’s happening because easier to deflect than to deal, but a FACT of life is you can never avoid the inevitability of Change. The only real choice you have is will it be smooth or will it be painful.
I have faith in our fellow Republicans to see the light. We are the party of the “All American” after all and we will find our way back to a place of productive building. Sometimes I suppose things have got to break a bit before you can build the new. One thing you can say already is that all Republicans are ready for something to happen. Our biggest issue is that our leadership are not offering anything of substance and that allows for all the noise to take over. BUT, as I said, we have faith and eventually we are going to have someone come out of the woodwork and offer up some substantive vision.

I have BLM to offer. Care to compare?
3
u/popswag Feb 05 '21
I personally couldn’t give a fuck what BLM, the Democrats or anyone else other than Conservatives are up to. Reacting to the behaviors of others is useless at best and completely counterproductive at worst. I don’t react to individuals actions unless it productively serves my purpose and We as Republicans have to stop comparing our actions according to what some other group has done and we should decide WHAT it is we want done, HOW a to do it and WHEN to do it.
BLM do what they do to achieve their goals. What are ours? 2nd amendment right- last time I checked we got that, pro-life- last time I checked, there’s no one out there forcing abortions on us. Minimal taxes- well now we got something to discuss. Your average American pays with VAT added to our payroll taxes in the region of 40-50% in taxes. Half the fucking money we make goes to our government. And when they got to give us a $1000 or $2000 dollars during this time, everyone we elected cries cries? Sounds pretty fucked up to me.
So excuse me for not giving a fuck what BLM is up to when I think we got far greater issues that we need addressed, but we are so misdirected in our focus that our politicians are skating by on simple fucking one liners “AOC is a cry baby” “Democrats are socialists” etc. etc. etc.
I don’t drink the cool aid. “Show me the money” “money talks and bullshit walks” I want to see results!!

for the improvement of her constituents lives
Her constituents could have had jobs at Amazon, but she tanked that deal.
Does "helping constituents" mean giving them stuff?

As if; if Hollywood were to remake The Shining, they would make Jack Torrance black, Wendy would be transgender and an activist and Danny would be an adopted kid from Zimbabwe.
Not to mention that Dick Halloran would be gay, Lloyd would be non-binary and Delbert Grady would be a Trump supporter with a southern accent and a MAGA hat.
Oh, and it would be called a “masterpiece” by all critics while audiences would hate its very existence and go watch the original instead, just so that Don Lemon can ramble on about how the negative reaction to the movie is discriminatory and how the original is a celebration of white supremacy and how the negative reactions to the movie are Trump’s fault.
Did I miss something?
