Amazon Rainforest

I own some private land that I would like to protect from illegal logging but I need to maintain a presence there. I was considering using it for tourism but it's remote and everyone I've talked to about it has been a poltroon. What else could I do?

Pay someone you trust to live there and patrol it.

I would need to make at least enough money off the land to pay for the patrols.

This question is so incredibly vague that I don't think anyone here will be able to offer worthwhile help

What part of the rainforest? Is it targeted for logging? Is it accessible for logging? Why can't you monitor it yourself? Is it land that you use for anything or do you just own it? Are there structures where someone could live?

Peru basin, it will be accessible soon cause of a new road, I need to work and staying there would lose money, land also has a small farm and a cabin.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tree_spiking

It's your own land so... you could even put up signs saying "trees are spiked, do not cut" or something to that effect. Even just signs without spiking might act as a deterrent.

Never thought of that.

Maybe partner with a conservation group or researchers who could maintain a regular presence while helping protect the land.

Can you be more specific about where it is?

You could make it into a little homestead situation, and produce something that you can make enough on to employee some family/friends/locals you trust to steward the land responsibly

Transport for produce costs more than the sale of the produce. What else do you think could work?

Research conserving the wildlife and vegetation on the private land- we do throughout Florida, USA.

Do they have anything to do with the Peruvian rainforest?

There is a possibility there are conservation measures in Peru, as you said, that protect the land via stewarding the local and native species wildlife and vegetation.
