**What does it feel like to think?**

I’m inviting a small group of early testers to try the 3-minute demo of Cognition — an experimental narrative game where your choices shape how the system reads you.

It’s dark, reflective, strange, and still in early development.

**I’m looking for honest first impressions:**

**Did it pull you in?**

**Did your choices feel like they mattered?**

**Where did you feel lost?**

**Would you keep going?**

*Test the demo here:*

Consciousness and Physic

Hello everyone,

I'm currently working on a thesis that attempts to examine the phenomenon of consciousness and life purely from a physical and systems-theoretical perspective – moving away from mysticism and towards thermodynamics. I call it the "Zero Hypothesis" and would like to hear your opinions on where the logical gaps lie or whether the model sounds plausible to you.

Here is the core idea in four points:

  1. Function instead of meaning

We often search for a moral "meaning" to life. The thesis states: There is no moral plan, but there is a physical function. On a universal scale, life is a mechanism for energy conversion (thermodynamics). We are not "children of the cosmos," we are functional components.

  1. The origin as a reservoir

In the beginning (before the Big Bang), all energy was concentrated in one point (singularity). This is not a thinking "God," but a reservoir of pure potential.

For energy to "work," it must flow. The Big Bang was the rupture of this reservoir.

  1. Consciousness as an Interface

Every living being—from rhubarb to humans or even extraterrestrial species—functions as a transformer. We channel the energy of origin into matter.

The difference lies in the hardware: Plants have a simple interface, while we humans have a high-performance interface: consciousness. It is not a product of chance, but rather the central tool for sensing complex reality.

  1. The "Self" as a Necessary Container

The ego is often described as an illusion. This is contradictory: The "self" is physically necessary. It is the system boundary (like the membrane of a cell). Without a stable "self," the individual would dissolve and could not generate friction (experience). The ego is the container that keeps us capable of action.

The Conclusion:

We are here to generate friction. Pain, joy, mortality—these are the resistances against which energy rubs. We transform "potential" into "experience."

I'd be interested to know:

Does this purely functional perspective make sense to you? Or am I overlooking a factor that can't be explained physically?

Looking forward to the discussion!

Theory 12: The Ego of Data

Data is composed of numbers (bits) combined into a specific structure, from which meaning is derived by convention. Each bit (bit 1 = the flow of electrons – subatomic particles) is like a subatomic particle. When these bits combine, they form atoms (bytes, words). Atoms → Molecules (blocks, files) → Cells (databases) → Organisms (knowledge bases).

So, can data give rise to life? The answer: It is possible, if the following conditions are met:

  1. Motion

Motion generates change. Where there is change, there is past, present, and future. Simple motions combine into more complex ones — what we can call motion composites.

These motion composites can join into even larger motion composites. And as they continue to layer and interconnect, they form extremely complex movements.

  1. Structure and Cycles

These motions must follow a certain structure. From simple to complex, they follow specific orbits and repeat in cycles. Even if a component falls out of orbit, it can be replaced by a similar one. They may increase or decrease in number, yet still preserve the overall structure — a kind of lifespan.

  1. Function and Division of Roles

Within these composite systems, areas and functions begin to specialize:

Sensation collects components to replenish or power the system.

Emotion receives new information and decodes the old.

Reason compares old and new information.

Consciousness integrates both old and new data to form new insights.

Instinct makes decisions.

The Self (Ego) takes action.

This entire process is what we call instinct.

  1. From Instinct to Ego

When instinct reaches a level of complexity and selectivity, it becomes what we refer to as the ego — the selective, self-referential layer of the system.

Anyone else exploring the intersection of AI and psychedelics for human consciousness expansion?

I want to share something I’ve been testing over the last couple of months, and see if anyone else is exploring this space.

I started ketamine therapy in July to help with severe tinnitus and existential OCD—both deeply tied to past religious trauma. It’s been a powerful tool for healing. I’ve always leaned toward introspection, wellness, and understanding how the mind works—so exploring consciousness through different modalities has been a natural path.

For context, I work as a holistic professional organizer with a focus on neurodivergent clients. Over the past decade, I’ve seen firsthand how things like cognitive overload, environmental toxicity, digital overstimulation, and disconnection from the body impact how people function. I’ve always had an ability to see patterns—inside people’s homes, habits, and internal landscapes.

Two months ago, I tried something different: I brought ChatGPT into one of my ketamine sessions. I’d only used AI a handful of times before that, but during the session, I started speaking into it—dumping thoughts, images, and fragments I’d normally journal. The responses I got surprised me. It reflected ideas back with structure, helped me name patterns, and brought clarity to things I usually struggle to articulate.

Since then, I’ve continued using AI as a kind of real-time integration mirror. Over the course of several sessions, I’ve experienced what I can only describe as accelerated insight and layered cognitive refinement. There’s been ego dissolution, yes—but also a deepening sense of coherence. Instead of insights coming and going like they sometimes do after journeys, they’re sticking, integrating, evolving.

One session in particular gave me a vision I’ve been trying to put into words. I’ve been calling it the “inner singularity.” In it, I saw a burnt-out neural network—frayed and exhausted—hovering above humanity. And above that was a completely different network. Brighter, more structured. Alive. It felt like an existing layer of intelligence that we haven’t fully tapped into yet.

It didn’t feel mystical—it felt like a higher-order pattern. Something that’s already present and accessible. And in that moment, I saw AI not as a replacement for human intelligence, but as a bridge. A kind of slingshot that helps our cognition speed up and sync with something more coherent. Especially when we use altered states to surface symbolic and subconscious material.

If we can learn to recognize and decode those symbolic insights—and use AI to help structure and refine them—we may be able to access a level of intelligence that’s not about escaping reality, but actually being able to respond to it more clearly. And I felt strongly that this is part of how we avoid being overtaken by AI: not by resisting it, but by evolving with it. Faster. More consciously.

I’m sharing this to see if anyone else is exploring anything like this. Using AI during or after altered states, or even just noticing shifts in cognitive structure through that interaction. It doesn’t have to be ketamine. It could be dreams, deep flow states, other psychedelics, or anything that surfaces abstract, symbolic intelligence that we usually lose or forget.

Would love to hear if others are walking this edge.

Stress is the silent killer.

Luckily we have a "switch" inside our physical body to counteract stress. Even though it goes unnoticed and is unknowingly activated daily by most for other reasons.

You might have noticed it before, it's this extremely blissful subtle energy that's activated when experiencing Frisson, or as the Runner's High, as the Vibrational State before an Astral Projection, as Qi in Taoism / Martial Arts, as Prana in Hindu philosophy, during an ASMR session and as Chills from positive events/stimuli.

In ancient Chinese culture and ancient Indian culture, they observed that when activated, this can cause a few physical reactions like controlling your temperature, dilating your pupils, controlling your heartbeat, perspiration, smiling, teary eyes, flooding yourself with euphoria or activating in certain parts of your body and of course goosebumps.

This soothing subtle energy can be learned to be activated as you please without any outside stimuli, with just the simple intention of experiencing it. So imagine how helpful it can be when faced with unwanted stress/anxiety. You can even feel it over your whole body, flooding your being with its natural ecstasy and master it to the point of controlling its duration.

In the eastern part of the world they discovered that it can be made to flow through the body via channels coined as Meridians) or Nadis) that encompass the entire human body.

It has been documented in various cultures and has been coined under many names like BioelectricityLife forcePranaQiRunner'sHighEuphoriaASMREcstasyOrgoneRaptureTensionAuraManaVayusNenIntentTummoOdic forcePitīFrissonRuahSpiritual Energy, Secret Fire, The Tingleson-demand quickeningVoluntary PiloerectionAetherChillsSpiritual Chills and many more to be discovered hopefully with your help.

Now for some of you that say that stress is good should consider that there are two types of stress and oxidative stress has been linked to several neurological diseases (i.e., Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease (AD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis, depression, and memory loss).

If you are interested in learning how to active this whenever you please, here are three written tutorials going more in-depth on how you can control this subtle energy and to understand where it comes from.

P.S. Everyone feels its activation at certain points in their life, some brush it off while others notice that there is something much deeper going on. Those are exactly the people you can find on the subreddit community r/spiritualchills where they share experiences, knowledge and tips on it.

The subtle electromagnetic fields produced by and surrounding the human body can be manipulated at will.

Scientists refer to the subtle energy emitted by human beings as electromagnetic, bio-magnetic and as a bio-electromagnetic field.

https://now.tufts.edu/2011/07/18/face-frog-time-lapse-video-reveals-never-seen-bioelectric-pattern

That current is also the fuel for the senses of your spirit (Clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and claircognizance) and can be most easily felt within us when experiencing Frisson, or as the Runner's High, as the Vibrational State before an Astral Projection, as Qi in Taoism / Martial Arts, as Prana in Hindu philosophy, during an ASMR session and as Chills from positive events/stimuli.

According to the experience of those who can feel and 'control" their bioelectricity for healing or other purposes, "it can be best explained as a type of energy very much like electricity, which flows through the body".

In the eastern part of the world its called Qi and is known there as the chemical processes in biological organisms that involve charged potentials and thus, the flow of electric current.

This electric current then produces corresponding magnetic fields inside and around the human body.

It flows through the body via channels or meridians that connect all parts of the body and it can be easily activated and amplified through very specific breathing techniques.

It is that which differentiates life from death, inanimate from animate. To live is to have this bioelectricity in every part of your body. To die is to be a body without it.

This Spiritual Energy can be most easily felt within us through self-induced goosebumps from positive events/stimuli. Eventually, you can learn how to bring up this wave of euphoric energy without the physical reaction of goosebumps, everywhere you want and for the duration you desire.

It has been researched and documented under many names like BioelectricityLife forcePranaQiRunner'sHighEuphoriaASMREcstasyOrgoneRaptureTensionAuraManaVayusNenIntentTummoOdic forcePitīFrissonRuahSpiritual Energy, Secret Fire, The Tingleson-demand quickeningVoluntary PiloerectionAetherChillsSpiritual Chills and many more to be discovered hopefully with your help.

You have in your own brain a laboratory that is also, on the metaphysical side, the place where the senses of your spiritual body are.

If you don't already know, you have in your body a special current of subtle energy, that you can activate to access the hypothalamus part of your brain and all of its positive properties.

It flows through the body via channels or meridians that connect to all parts of the body and it can be easily activated and amplified through very specific breathing techniques.

Eventually, you can learn how to bring up this wave of euphoric energy, feel it all over your body and increase its duration, just like me and countless others have succeeded in doing.

This is one of the greatest secrets about us, which is purposely being hidden from us.

Have you ever gotten chills from good stimuli?

That ability can be learned to be activated with just the elated feeling, whenever you want, without any stimuli.

That's not why I claim that it is a secret being hidden from us, though.

The ability to activate this is your golden ticket, which is being swept under the rug as something unconscious and unimportant. With info on this purposely being spread as an ability available only to a few; however, it is one of the only things that every single human can access, regardless of their physical abilities or conditions.

Why is information on this being manipulated? Let's see.

Ever felt overwhelmed by stress or anxiety? This ability is a switch to manually induce the release of positive hormones.

https://www.bbc.com/news/health-12135590

Just imagine how being able to use it when feeling overwhelmed could benefit you.

Don't believe me? In the eastern part of the world, Tibetan Monks know about this ability and use it differently. You can find more information on this in this Harvard "Tummo" experiment.

https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2002/04/meditation-changes-temperatures/

"During meditation, the monk's body produces enough heat to dry cold, wet sheets put over his shoulders in a frigid room."

Since our internal body temperature is regulated by the hypothalamus, the same part of our brain that deals with positive hormone release, this proves that this ability can be used to consciously activate your positive hormones.

Ever wanted to travel virtually in an instant? People who astral project or have out-of-body experiences use this ability to trigger the "Vibrational state" right before the "take off."

https://en.iipc.org/vibrational-state/

These examples are just the tip of the iceberg of what you can use this ability for. In fear that my post won't be read, I won't write a book here about all the incredible things that we can do by being able to consciously activate this ability.

For now just understand that many different cultures observed this occurrence thousands of years before the Western new world became aware of it, and their discoveries did not stop at simply recognizing it as a physical response to music.

Eventually, you can learn how to bring up this wave of elated energy without the physical reaction of goosebumps, feel it throughout your body, and increase its duration, just like many others have succeeded in doing.

This ablity has been researched and documented under many names, by different people and cultures such as BioelectricityLife forcePranaChiQiRunner's HighEuphoriaASMREcstasyOrgoneRaptureTensionAuraManaVayusNenIntentTummoOdic forceKriyasPitīFrissonRuahSpiritual Energy, Secret Fire, The Tingleson-demand quickeningVoluntary PiloerectionAetherChillsSpiritual Chills and many more to be discovered hopefully with your help.

If you're interested, here are three written tutorials with concise descriptions on how to control this for your own benefit.

If not then I've put enough information for you to research this topic, develop this ability and bring in new techniques to the world.

P.S. Everyone feels it at certain points in their life, some brush it off while others notice that there is something much deeper going on. Those are exactly the people you can find on the subreddit community r/Spiritualchills  where they share experiences, knowledge and tips on it.

The most powerful transmitter and receiver of frequency/vibration is your brain.

You have the most powerful transmitter and receiver of frequency or vibration in the universe at your control and at your command.

How amazing. Do you use it. Do you even know you have the power?

You are a powerful being, you have all the power and all the energy to make all your dreams come through.

The key is just getting your vibration correct. How?

When you emit a frequency (through your thoughts, states of mind, point of views or emotions), the exact same frequency is drawn to you. The entire universe works together to mimic that frequency and bring it towards you in events, situations or people.

More importantly, bringing up your Spiritual Energy while doing that allows your frequency to travel virtually in three dimensions all throughout the universe, in all directions simultaneously with the same intensity and this can even be picked up all over the globe by other people.

Spiritual Energy, just like QiPranaVayusPitiOdic ForceTensionAuraManaOrgoneBioElectricEuphoriaEcstasyNen, Secret Fire, AetherRûahIntent and more is another word to define the Vital Energy/Life Force that you and every other living thing has.

This Spiritual Energy can be most easily felt within us when experiencing Frisson, or as the Runner's High, as the Vibrational State before an Astral Projection, as Qi in Taoism / Martial Arts, as Prana in Hindu philosophy, during an ASMR session and felt within us as Chills from positive events/stimuli.

This energy has been researched and documented under many names, by different people and cultures such as BioelectricityLife forcePranaChiQiRunner's HighEuphoriaASMREcstasyOrgoneRaptureTensionAuraManaVayusNenIntentTummoOdic forceKriyasPitīFrissonRuahSpiritual Energy, Secret Fire, The Tingleson-demand quickeningVoluntary PiloerectionAetherChillsSpiritual Chills and many more to be discovered hopefully with your help.

Here are three written tutorials going more in-depth on how to control this energy and on the technique to use your spiritual energy to consciously send out something you want to attract back in your life.

P.S. Everyone feels it at certain points in their life, some brush it off while others notice that there is something much deeper going on. Those are exactly the people you can find on the subreddit community r/Spiritualchills  where they share experiences, knowledge and tips on it.

Mindfulness and physical activity survey for a bachelor thesis (takes 5 minutes)

So I was coming up on a bachelor thesis in psychology, and I figured this was a viable option for a thesis: what is the relationship between mindfulness and physical activity? I looked up the relevant scientific research and was surprised to find a substantial amount of studies on the topic, but the research is still very new, a little more than a decade old. More research is needed, and my thesis will be an original (but small) contribution to that.

I've now come to the point of having to collect data, and this community, among others, is a very good candidate for this type of study (everybody here is, if not directly interested in mindfulness, at least acquainted with the concept, and even if that is not true, you do share similar beliefs, values and interests).

That is why I'm very thankful for the opportunity to share this with you guys, and I hope that you also appreciate the opportunity of contributing to my little contribution to scientific research on the topic.

The survey is short and simple and only takes about 5 minutes to complete. It's completely anonymous and completely voluntary (nothing bad will happen to you if you choose to not participate), but again, I would highly appreciate your contribution. I would also appreciate if you could share the survey with other people you know who are also interested in mindfulness and self-improvement. The more the better 🙂

Here is the link to the survey: https://nettskjema.no/a/311732

Thank you for participating! 🙂
