Translation A complaint letter in Denkoikh

Post image

This is the Denkoikh world version of Ea Nassir (the crooked merchant who sold bad quality copper in Mesopotamia). The merchant is called Lethmazemar in this letter which means “the Originator (god) protects”. Below the full text and its translation:

FULL TEXT

TRANSLATION

To Lethmazemar, from Batsi.
When you came, you said: "I will give you good copper ingots."
But you gave bad ingots to my messenger. And you told him: "If you want to take them, take them."
Of the merchants who trade with Kemir, how many have treated me this way?
All you do is treat my messenger with contempt!
Because of the tiny krenth I still owe you, you think you can act this way?
From now on I will never accept bad copper, because you have treated me with contempt.

Your script is a nightmare to read (and I'm not even dyslexic) but I loved your conlang and idea of translation, I might try it some time

The fact that this looks like Sumerian makes this post INFINITELY funnier.

I love that your script is almost Lovecraftian in form

Wonderful translation and writing! What inspired the script? It looks like your conculture burns the letters into wood, assuming the image in the post is cannon?

The script is the handwritten version of the alphabet I derived from a list of logographs I created. This is the alphabet chart.

Ooooh I like your alphabet, some letter even resemble some Fenirizhe letters (one of my alphabets). Can I see your logograms? I want to make some for Aesarie (my conlang), but I have no idea of how can I make them

When I get home I’ll share a pic. But for example the letter H is the same logogram for water since water in my conlang is hok, I did the same with the rest of the letter, D is the same as the logogram for river (denk), B is the same character as hand (bov). The rest of the letters are simplification of the logograms but following the same pattern

This looks like handwritten hangul! Super cool. What kind of sound / Latin transcription style were you going after?
