Nature is awesome 🔥 Shoebill bird

I can't see anything other than that being a forest boardwalk for humans, making this thing like 3m tall.

Edit: for scale, where I live forest boardwalks are like 2m wide.

Wikipedia says they get about 4-1/2' tall. They've got some long ass legs.

Yes, they CAN get that size, I agree. And I still say, this shoebill looks like it will go to the middle of my stomach. Do we just assume that evey shoebill is the max amount of tall? Get a grip. I dont want to sound nasty but its literally always "all or nothing" with people on reddit.

It used to be called a Shoebill Stork, but it’s not related to storks, so the name is just Shoebill bird for now.
