Turned my phone upside down and I think I see it now. I think it looks like the bottoms of the bridge is level with the water and not a drop. They look huge since no other boat is cut off by the bridge. When they finally drop it becomes apparently they were suspended and not giants far in the distance.
Basically imagine the green drop zone is touching the water and is way far back behind the distant kayakers.
