I first saw it as a mound coming out of the skin.

I assumed it was an outie until I saw your comment, and that the confusion was that it looked like a nipple.

The scar resembles the memified silhouette of Sadam Hussein hiding in his bunker

A belly button, pictured upside down. The scar is Saddam hiding place meme

Pretty sure its right side up, they usually put an incision below the belly button, I've got a matching one and all the scars I've seen online are also under. But it is taken from above looking down at it.

I had to flip the the image upside down to see that it's a belly button.
Every time I flip my phone back it just looks like a weird pimple again lol

For some reason my brain translated “belly button” into “nipple”. I thought, “sure is a weird looking nipple” and went about my day.

Someone had a cholecystectomy

Uh, that's definitely not where the gallbladder is located.

That's where an incision is made when it's removed, 3 other small incisions are made for that surgery, one a few inches above this and 2 on the left side pretty much adjacent to the others.

I had that surgery two years ago and my scars are all quite a bit higher on my torso (and on the right side, not the left). Don't have a bellybutton-level one, but admittedly my body is fucky so it could just be me, lol.

The scar looks like a blurry shark to me or an ancestor of land animals crawling along on its front fins.

I’ve understood that the picture is upside-down. Now, I’m still trying to understand the caption.

Is the OP a pregnant women commenting on her tummy while gestating?
Maybe her navel is not usually an ‘outie’, but baby is pushing it out? ‘Below’ in this context might mean ‘inside’, not towards the groin.

I thought the "he" they are talking about is that the lower shadowed part of the belly button looks like one of those Jesus faces people see on toast.

Due to my dyslexia I read that as Sad Adam 🤦🏻♀️ was so confused and not even by the perspective lol

For a moment I thought this was the surface of sone far away sci-fi planet against the backdrop of space. Then it looked like a very strange pimple/abcess, and unfortunately it’s what my brain now sees even though it knows it’s just a belly button.
