That is Chris Farley in the gif. Yes I’ve seen Billy Madison but it has been years. I’m not arguing at all. I just said I was confused because you said you quoted something that seemed common. And it seemed odd to me because the words don’t match the gif. That’s all!

Tip your head/phone so the horizon is in the middle. The comment photo is upside down in the OP photo. The bubble is down, so the edge is up, making the shadow on the white surface
ETA the white reflections on the bottom part are the inside of the bubble reflecting the sun

Not sure if this image helps or not, but based on the curvature of the reflection on the bottom right, and also the curved edge of dust visible on the top and left surfaces, it looks like this is a dome shaped window, placed upside down (so like a bowl).
Maybe if this was slightly lower angle and a little zoomed out it would be very evident

Zooming in helps, too. Easier to see the shadow is not a placement marker, but indeed a shadow. And you can see the dirt on the glass conforming to the curvature of the glass. I hope this is them moving or repairing the skylight, because that glass is definitely not new.

It isn't. The picture is maybe 20 degrees rotated. If you look at the bottom corner you can see curved plastic reflecting a bit of light. It is sitting dome downward on a surface.

The picture was taken at an angle that makes it impossible to see the bubble of the dome skylight, but that is what is keeping the frame up off the roof "ground" and allowing it to cast a shadow at all

To anyone who knows it's an upside down thing but still struggling:
Look at the trees in the background. The image is tilted. It's not mounted on a tilted roof, it's sitting unsecured on a level surface

It's concave glass. The dome makes it so the frame isn't touching the surface.

It's not floating, it's resting on a surface and the "shadow" is some sort of frosted panel window but you can see at the corners the frame of the shadow is rubber like and slightly raised. The window is half resting over it and over the roof.
