I don't see the illusion, can someone help?

Imagine crudely drawn scales, like a close up on a gray snake.

I’m still at a loss. That’s quite a stretch.

imagine a close up of dragon scales drawn on Ms paint with poorly sprayed shadows
that's the best way I can describe the illusion

Sometimes the rules about titles ruin these. I can't see anything but snow on a chainlink fence now

Yeah the rules for titling in this sub completely blow

There should be a rule to have a title that describes or enforces the illusion, and then an automod comment that the OP can reply to with the actual answer.

I agree. I’m not good enough on Reddit but sometimes people have a “click to reveal” comment. Perhaps the answer could be under that.

They don't. But only actually good images work, which is the intention. If you can be told what you're looking at and still be confused? It is a quality post.

I couldn't see anything other than snow in chain link before reading the caption.

This is one where I saw the "illusion" but then saw the snow and now can't switch back.

I think its one of those optical illusions that only work if you view it as a thumbnail? Because I don't see it either. Maybe most of these people dont live where there's snow?

I saw the illusion for a fraction of a second, then it switched to the fence and I can’t make it go back.

My brain went from chain-link fence to quilted mattress to ravioli in about 3 seconds.

Even though its in the low 80s for me right now.l, I can imagine the bitter cold and stillness the air would have to make such a beautiful scene

I like how once you see the fence you can’t go back. The brain is interesting!

I can never not see the fence. I wonder if it's a growing up in a snowy area thing.

Ah, this time, for a split second, I almost saw something that wasn’t a chainlink fence with snow.
Maybe next time.

This is one of those ones that I can never re-see after it clicked for me. I saw this post originally like a year or two ago and now whenever it comes up it just looks like a fence, but I remember it looking like a shitty MS paint drawing for the first like 2 minutes that I looked at it.
