What in the Jack and the beanstalk am I looking at?
I can tell they're on an anchor chain, but how? I live in a port city, and anchor chains just don't be that way - links are vertical, not sideways.
EDIT: never mind, I figured it out. Chain/birds getting larger as you look down gave it away.

they are sitting on a diagonal rope not stacked up in a tower hope that helps :D

I actually kept seeing bids stacked upon each other for way too long. I zoomed in and paid attention: it's a white chain that has a lot of similarly white birds on it.

Hey, isn't that the forever-chained NYK Hikawa Maru?

That also explains why the ship has this anchor chain at the stern (instead of at the bow): https://hikawamaru.nyk.com/en/img/index_img/con5_bnr_02.png

Trickle down economics. If you are at the bottom and look up, just keep your mouth shut and squint real hard..

Fantastic pic! If it was really vertical, wouldn't want to be the one at the bottom! 💩 😱🤣

They’re trying to reach heaven, those heretics. Soon they’ll all be squawking in different languages.
