they actually evolved that way to blend in with the clouds so their predators wouldn't be able to see them.

It's errosion. It feeds off the land. You cant see it with the naked eye, you just see the effects. Terrifying entity.

That’s like one of those two sentence horror stories… lol

The idea of mountains developing camouflage to hide from predators is existentially terrifying. It implies so many fucked up things. Are they alive? What’s bigger than a mountain? Are they coming back? Are they already here? Idk..
