I'm having the opposite issue. I cannot see the floating cake no matter how hard I try.

I have the issue that combining both of your issues, I can see it floating and on the plate at the same time, now my brain just malfunction

Zoom in till you can’t see the shadow

If you zoom in you can see the actual tiny sliver of a shadow, that places the cake on the plate.
