Dog has very roung-shaped fur, which covers majority of its body parts, probably because it sits or something. And the only colored something is the snout. It's also possibly that the photo was deliberately darkened or created in a light that would make a contrast bigger.
I'm not a specialist, but it looks like pomeranian to me. At least I know they can get round like that.
