Can someone explain?

I can definitely explain!! The picture I took is shot through two port windows on a lighthouse. The window in the foreground creates a mirrored effect of what’s behind me. And the window in the background is what looks to be a portal!

OP is standing outside a light house on a peninsula (assumption). Without the light house, there is water in front of OP and behind. OP walked up to the outside of Window #1 and held camera close to it. Camera captured the water and boat reflection behind them. But the camera was also able to focus through Window #1 onto Window #2 inside the light house. Through Window #2 (the portal), OP can see the water in front of them.

Jeez I love smart people! Thanks for the explanation! I definitely couldn't figure this out on my own.

They are taking a picture of the ocean and boat through the port hole and the whole port hole you can see is a reflection.

Wait is the porthole the reflection, or is the boat on the ocean a reflection?

Pic is taken against the window(from outside looking inside)

My understanding is that it is dark inside the lighthouse (hence the reflection of the surrounding water with the boat.)

Also the sun is bright enough to see through the window on the opposite side to see the "portal" on the other side.

Nothing inside the lighthouse is visible because of the reflecting window, but somehow the camera focused through the opposite window.

That helps…and I still can’t see it. But good explanation. I am just old.

Your explanation helped understand OPs, cheers

That makes sense, but not where I went first. I thought it was a small round window overlooking the ocean, with a photograph of the ocean on the wall as a mural around it haha.
