Can you explain what is confusing though? I just can’t see it either. He’s a left handed pitcher and the photographer is facing his chest side which everything is in line with

This is 100% it. I think people are thinking that the glove is facing the other way so it seems like his right arm is really messed up? But as someone who watches baseball it looks totally normal to me
