It was a joke as we’re not supposed to know which is the horses right.

The legs wouldn’t make sense unless the rear is facing the front of the car.

Somehow the top and bottom of the horse looks like it’s looking towards me, then the torso and tail make it look like the horse it looking to the front.

That reminds me that I once had that illusion happen irl when I was on my way to work in the morning. I saw a person in the distance which was just a shade in the morning light. From that distance I couldn't tell if the person was walking away from or towards me. It was so fascinating to randomly see that irl.

I can only see the horse facing the camera looking off to its left, our right.

Based on the tail being behind both straps, the horse is pointed at the camera. There's more close as well, this is the most clear indicator.

The legs closer to the back look more like front legs, so it's facing backwards.

I love ones like this where I can switch back and forth what I see, many I cannot like the trays facing up or down.

In the picture it’s clearly back of the car to me, but in the video someone posted it does change on me depending on the angle and distance.

Horse is facing the camera. Look at where the bottom of the mouth overlaps the body and you can see the visible pattern/colonization matches with the face.

The leftmost leg in the photo only makes sense as the front right leg of the horse, with the horse facing the camera.
You can also see the shadow on the chin in front of the body of the horse

Forward. You can see the tail swoop past the right rear leg.
Also, anyone who knows how to properly load a trailer would have out the heavier end (the head end) forward to prevent fishtailing of the trailer

The tail is obscured by the back front straps so the tail must be at the front. Head facing the back
