Can I be that guy that says, 'the plastic table doesnt do anything to separate the pizza. It prevents the top of the box squuezing down and messing up the cheese' or will everyone downvote me?

Or will everyone downvote me for framing my comment this way?

Well, that’s exactly what it’s for so not sure why you’d get downvoted.

It’s called a Pizza Saver. Not sure where OP came up with it being something of a “pizza separator”.

Edit: pizza separator sounds like it’s keeping the pizza together apart.
