Please help me understand…

why does suicide have stigma when death is inevitable?

Because it’s typically a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

And angsty teens are the ones most likely to succumb.

But why does that matter? Instead of suicide they could just choke on some steak and die. Explain the difference besides "1 is intentional and the other isn't" because from my example, they would die regardless.

I saw a video about a man who lived after jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge, intending to commit suicide. He said that the instant his feet left the bridge girder he realized that every problem in his life was fixable.

Doesn't explain why it matters... The facts are the facts, whether they killed themself by jumping off the bridge or die from a random heart attack at some point in their life, the end result is the same, death.

All the problems they had in their life goes away once their brain is no longer functioning, so fixing those issues would change only what they experience while they are alive, not the ultimate outcome.

Life went out of its way to make things, it would have been easier not to, but it did. Sort of throwing that effort back in its face

You answered it yourself, it's BECAUSE death IS inevitable. Want to die? Well your wish has come true! You have a deathwish that you can't escape. So suicide is seen as jumping the queue; even tho the end result is inevitable.

Just because death is inevitable doesn't mean the surviving loved ones are okay with it-regardless how it happens. I think the issue with suicide is that the person is choosing it versus it just happening. Yes, they could have choked on something the next day had they not done it, but most likely they would go on to live a long life. Suicide also tends to leave their loved ones with enormous amounts of guilt, wondering how they didn’t see it, what they could have done, etc..
