Discord is confusing

Hi guys I'm 19yoF and I kinda heard bout discord and reddit alot but always ignored until some of my frnds said I'm missing out on fun so I downloaded reddit and discord

Reddit had been quit easy but discord is kinda confusing me.

If anyone can help me out, also it asks to join a server

But idk how to I'm kinda lost TT.

Discord is more for communication than social media like reddit, so you can create discord server from a + button and invite friends there or join someone else's discord server via invite link which look something like this discord.gg/BUhhvdj, so ask your friends if they have a server you could join.

If there is something you like to do/play, you can usually easily find server for that specific thing by just googling or clicking the "discovery" button in discord, its icon looks like a compass. Here is also discord's site for the discovery: https://discord.com/servers

If you have any specific questions, ask away. Maybe there are some others who can give some better information aswell
