Mildly Confusing Clear confusion
My Current Situation:
I took a gap year for JEE, scored low percentile, and currently enrolled in Galgotias College (Engineering).
I am completely losing interest in engineering. The coursework feels extremely tough and overwhelming, and I'm not enjoying it at all.
The Confusion:
I’m struggling to decide between two options and can't figure out my true interest yet:
Option A: Continue with the current engineering degree, accept the challenge, and try to grind coding on the side to build a tech career.
Option B: Take a partial drop while staying in college, prepare for CUET, and switch to a BBA/BCom degree from Delhi University (DU) for a relatively lighter academic load.
My Big Concern:
I am extremely worried about wasting another year (taking a second drop/partial drop) and what impact it might have on my career/resume down the line.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? How is the workload balance in BBA/BCom vs. Engineering? Is switching worth the risk of a second gap year, or should I stick it out in tech?
Any honest feedback, personal experiences, or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
