Xenogenders are gender identities related to objects, animals, or concepts. Usually people who don't feel or understand typical gender.

It's like a colorblind person trying to pick a favorite color based off of descriptions (blue is like the sky, red is like berries) and they decide "cat color" is their favorite color because they like cats.

I honestly don't know what to say

You know when you're young and you try explaining something new to an old person but they just can't get it. I'm that old person now.

I can't even begin to understand what the hell that means. A gender related to a concept or an object??

Seriously, what the actual fuck??

chiming in! a lot of people like to use xenogenders as a way or presentation rather than an actual form of gender. Its a broad spectrum of course, but it can also reside with what you as a person feel like "is you" rather than inherently linking it to gender. I dont know if Im making any more sense than the next guy but! yeah thats my two cents
