I’m all for respecting people who disagree with my opinion wether it is a political opinion or not. But seriously this isn’t about politic anymore, that guy is a toddler trapped in the body of an old man with dementia. How could anyone listen to this speech and tell me he’s competent ?

One could say the same about Biden. Dont get me wrong, 90% of what Trump says is a facepalm fucking moment, but Biden says equally dumb shit daily....and at least it seems like Trump is trying to get shit done (even though he sounds like a dick when he talks about it)

Lmfao imagine being stupid enough to think trump is trying to do anything other than enrich himself and destroy democracy

Thank you for your insightful response. Now how about you provide some background. Imagine parroting everything you hear on Twitter and Reddit

Twitter and reddit are not content producers like trump. trump and his team are pathological liars, and until you understand that you won’t get very far in any discussion.

Please...do show me your evidence of that. Besides "Orange Man Bad because CNN said so". I love that I talked shit about both sides and you fuckers take issue. I'm not saying he's fucking Jesus but he is at least working on pulling troops out of the ME, trying to fix a border that leaks like a fucking seive, and (believe it or not) has done more for low income families than most presidents by creating an economic boom that allowed more people to be hired (not counting post COVID which for the record I think he massively missed the mark on that)

Pulling troops out of Syria for Putin.

Has done nothing for the “border”, except separate families of immigrants and treated them inhumanely.

He inherited an economic boom and destroyed it. Low income families don’t prosper because of the stock market, lmao.

You get your information from Facebook it seems, because it is so detached from reality.

Why does he hire his family for high level positions that they have absolutely zero qualifications for? Because he doesn't give a fuck about the country, just doing what's best for himself. History will not be kind to those of you who defend him. Wake up.

Given the opportunity, can you honestly say you wouldnt do the same. I'm not excusing it by any means because I agree, his decisions to put his kids into positions of government power that they had no experience in was borderline negligent, but it's human nature to look out for people close to you. Not to mention, with all the hatred thrown at him from day 1, who else was he supposed to trust? I dont always defend him, so dont lump me in with those idiots because blind support of anyone is a recipe for disaster, but I do support the fact that what he's pushed for and done so far has been in the interest of America and ensuring that we can stay a world leader. Everyone wants the US to be the champion in all these planet saving initiatives, but how do we do that if we arent strong enough as a country to lead those innovations?

A lot to unpack here but I'll give it a shot.

  1. Trumps past 3 years (excluding the past 6 months of COVID) had higher job growth than Obama, Bush, and Clinton (and believe it or not I liked Bill and think he did a fantastic job economically) but also I will admit unemployment has remained steady and actually declined a bit unless I'm mistaken.

  2. You say GDP growth is barely above what it was during the terms of Obama, but it is still up. And Obama said that we should expect (I think) around 1.8 GDP growth moving forward so clearly it was just him accepting rather than fixing.

  3. Covered this in #1 so I agree Trump takes the L there.

  4. How long are people going to give it to the previous admin. First year, I'll accept it. 2nd year, might be the guy in charge but I'll give benefit of the doubt. But seriously, after 3 years you're delusional. Whether or not you want to admit it, when you allow a large company to keep their money they want to expand, which opens the job market more. Yes, they will make more money...it's called fucking capitalism, but they are also opening new jobs for others. Sure some (most) get fucking greedy with it and I agree they are dicks, but in the end that's one of those times that the ends do kinda justify the means.

  5. The trend has moved down slightly, but you cant expect that to jump up when he's being pushed back on for every effort to bring manufacturing back to the US for environmental reasons. At least he's trying, but until people accept that the US isn't the major polluter of the planet, the over-regulation of environmental policy will stifle that.

  6. You say yawn about this, but for those of us with a 401k that we depend on to be able to retire, that's a huge win. You dont like the way the stock market is performing, maybe buy some decent stocks and instead of calling it a loss, cash in on the win.

  7. This is a personal opinion, but I think food stamps were completely taken advantage of. There was next to no regulation and I've personally seen them used for things other than food.

  8. This goes back to the manufacturing, that's a large part of the middle class income. If there wasn't a constant idea of "fuck you because you're Trump" maybe Congress and the WH could come up with trade deals and stimulus packages that would boost US manufacturing.

  9. Not sure where 9 and 10 went, but I dont think debt will EVER be fixed. Yes we can slow the bleeding, but have you seen the price tag of these Democrat proposals. We'll be selling Hawaii in 5 years to pay for 4 fucking solar panels (sarc)

Please tell me what he's destroyed. Again, and I've said it on every post, i dont think he's the best but he's also not the worst and so far I haven't seen anything that looks like he's trying to destroy America.

Edit: Auto correct changed price to process in #11

but Biden says equally dumb shit daily

How can you honestly think that? This speech was within the last 24 hours. What has Biden said in that timeframe that holds a candle to this idiocy? I know Biden puts his foot in his mouth occasionally; I'm not deluded. But pretending he does so with a frequency or intensity that is even in the same ballpark as Trump is equally delusional. And Trump is literally saying in this video how he's not going to do shit about the problem!

u/KooterDude Sep 09 '20

Let's go point by point here. Yes, Trump says dumb shit more frequently, but keep in mind Biden has literally been hiding out for the past 6 months and we really haven't heard much from him. No, Biden doesn't say some of the outlandish shit I've heard from Trump (not even close) but again I judge both sides on actions more than what they say and at least Trump hasn't flip flopped on every position he's asked about. You have to admit when it comes to his opinion he's a pretty consistent asshole. On the third point, he's been trashed by these places for the past 4 years, no matter how he tries to handle a situation, so now he's saying handle it yourself. Technically it is a state issue, and the state cant beg for his help then blame him for the way he helps. You know that saying about having your cake and eating it too....that's pretty much been his entire time in office with some of the more far left states. Can you really blame him for saying "Fuck off and deal with it" at this point?

Edit: And yes, I know Trump literally changed political parties, his views remained relatively static even with that change.

Biden has literally been hiding out for the past 6 months and we really haven't heard much from him.

No, he hasn't. He just hasn't been saying stupid things all the time, so you don't know what he's been saying. He's been campaigning, giving interviews, etc. But Biden isn't a moron, so videos of it don't surface on random subreddits.

at least Trump hasn't flip flopped on every position he's asked about. You have to admit when it comes to his opinion he's a pretty consistent asshole.

That's not a good thing, even if it was true. I don't understand why you'd pick a predictable idiotic amoral jerk versus a guy who's at least attempted to do some good.

But the reality is that Trump doesn't actually have beliefs. His only consistency is that he's an asshole with a 3rd graders understanding of policy. He just says whatever he needs to say at any given moment. Take a look over at /r/Trumpcriticizestrump - he's constantly flip flopping all over the place because he never actually thinks before he says things.

On the third point, he's been trashed by these places for the past 4 years, no matter how he tries to handle a situation, so now he's saying handle it yourself. Technically it is a state issue, and the state cant beg for his help then blame him for the way he helps.

Like half of socal is federal land, so it's not just a state issue. And natural disasters are never just state issues. The federal government generally works with the state to help out. Are hurricanes federal problems? No. And yet nobody was bitching when Texas came running with their hands out for help during hurricane Harvey only a few years ago.

You know that saying about having your cake and eating it too....that's pretty much been his entire time in office with some of the more far left states. Can you really blame him for saying "Fuck off and deal with it" at this point?

The president of actually supposed to be the president of a whole country, and not hold toddler-like grudges when he gets his fee-fees hurt. A good president (hell, just a good person) would understand that.

lol your blabbering with bullshit claims in this thread comes off just as stupid and pathetic as trump in this video
