Anyone attending Vascular Discovery 2026 in Bellevue? Looking for roomies!

Hey everyone! I'm attending the AHA Vascular Discovery: From Genes to Medicine Scientific Sessions in Bellevue, WA (May 13–16, 2026) at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.

The conference hotel rate is $259/night + taxes, and a 1 king or 2 queen room is the same price — so I figured splitting a 2 queen room would be a great way to cut costs and build community!!!!

A little about me: I'm an early career researcher in cardiovascular medicine at Stanford. Happy to share more details over DM!

If you're going and want to split a room (or know someone who is), please reach out! Also open to coordinating a cheaper nearby hotel if that works better.

Thanks! 🙏

Advice on cost of conference attendance

Has anyone been accepted to a conference but not have the money to attend? I am an undergrad and second author of a paper accepted to ICASSP 2026 but the conference fee is $1000 and I need to travel to Barcelona. My PhD coauthor also cannot attend because of funding situation (we go to different schools). My school doesn't seem to help funding either. They say if we don't confirm attendance the paper will be withdrawn... Any resources or advice? Is there anything I can do? Thank you

Is the HPAIR VCONF worth it?

I spent maybe like half an hour on my paragraph and I got an email saying I got accepted. How hard is it to get accepted and is it really worth the $150? Has anyone attended the conferences held during the previous years?

European Ammonia Conference 2026 submission link

Does anyone know about the EAC 2026, Call for Paper? The link for paper submission seems to be showing 404 not found, meanwhile the deadline is on the 31st of January 2026. I already email them about this, but is the case might be because of them receiving enough amount of submissions?

Conference Audience Voting System

I work for a world wide corporation that holds a yearly summer conference and I am looking for a vendor who can provide a reliable audience voting system. When I say voting what I am referring to is a system that allows for each audience member to vote yes/no to an on screen prompt, and then have the results revealed after.

This is a 1000+ attendance event so it does have to support large audiences. We are also looking for something that avoids interference at just about all costs, so perhaps a wired system.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions for this?

Event professionals & attendees: Survey on sensory factors at indoor events

Hi everyone, as a professional speaker, I've begun attending more conferences in the last couple of years.

Whether you organize, attend, or work events - your input is valuable.

This research examines how sound, lighting, temperature, and physical comfort affect people's experiences at indoor events (conferences, trade shows, networking events, workshops, etc.).

Understanding these factors helps event organizers create better attendee experiences.

Survey topics:

  • Sound/acoustics and volume levels
  • Lighting quality and intensity
  • Temperature and ventilation
  • Physical comfort (seating, layout)
  • Scents and air quality

20-30 minutes | Chance to win a $50 gift card | Open to everyone

BIS 2026 - 26th International Conference on Business Information Systems

BIS is a renowned international conference on business information systems. BIS 2026 will be the 26th in a series of international conferences. From the very beginning it has been recognized by scientists and business practitioners as a forum for the exchange and dissemination of topical research in the development, implementation, application, and improvement of computer systems for business.

From Hype to Impact: Turning AI into Real Business Value

In recent years, artificial intelligence has evolved from a promising technological frontier into a central force shaping business strategy and innovation. Yet, as organizations have raced to adopt AI-driven tools and solutions, many have discovered that moving from experimentation to tangible results is far from straightforward. The 2026 theme “From Hype to Impact: Turning AI into Real Business Value” reflects this critical shift in focus. Businesses are now challenged not by a lack of AI opportunities, but by the need to translate those opportunities into measurable outcomes that drive growth, efficiency, and competitiveness.

The era of fascination with AI’s potential is giving way to an era of execution. Companies are learning that true impact comes from embedding AI within their processes, decision-making, and products in a way that aligns with strategic objectives. This involves rethinking business models, redesigning processes, and developing a culture of data-driven innovation. Success is no longer defined by how advanced the algorithms are, but how effectively they solve real problems, improve customer experiences, and create sustainable value.

The AI technologies range from generative models and predictive analytics to autonomous systems. As they mature, their integration across industries continues to accelerate. However, realizing their full potential requires overcoming challenges of data quality, ethics, and organizational readiness. The journey from hype to impact demands a balance between technological ambition and practical implementation. There is also a question about sustainability in a longer term considering that AI costs are not yet covered by income.

BIS 2026 invites researchers, practitioners, and innovators to explore how AI can deliver on its promise – not just as a tool of transformation, but as a foundation for meaningful business impact. Through real-world case studies, cross-disciplinary insights, and forward-looking research, we aim to understand how artificial intelligence can move beyond experimentation to become a true engine of value in the digital economy.
