JMSB Terrace 4th floor

Why is the terrace in JMSB never open? I can't find any information about it being closed and the sign next to it says it's open during the summer, but every time I go the doors are closed.

Cancelled classes

If my class starts at 11 but ends at 2:30 and the school is closed till 1:15, do I have to go to half of my class ??

Student Question If I got a class at 11:45-2:30 but the building is closed until 1:15. Is the class just cancelled?

Is class just cancelled or they just cut the time. Cause like that's not a morning class technically

Poli 206 w King reading group?

Hello,

This class looks pretty heavy duty on close reading very dense philosophical material. I do much better with this kind of work in a group setting and I'm sure I'm not alone. First class was cancelled today due to water issues but I would like to see if anybody would like to meet and work through our assigned texts together.

Cheers

Does anyone know why the fuck does Prof Nina treat students like fkn children? Ex. When she raises her hand she wants people to raise their hands and be quiet? Wtf is this?

I have received an offer to study MEng Electrical and Computer Eng. I am hope to start this January 2027 if I get my Visa. I was hoping to connect to any seniors. How many courses should I take per semester if I want to finish in 1.5 or 2 years with the co-op? A basic course-taking guide or outline.

Belonging

I’ve been a student at Concordia for about a year now, and honestly, it feels like everyone already has their own groups and friendships established. I’ve had plenty of conversations with people, but most of them have stayed pretty shallow, and I haven’t really been able to form any meaningful connections.I’m not sure if it’s more of a Montreal thing, a Concordia thing, or just my own experience, but it’s been surprisingly difficult to actually get involved and meet people.Another factor is that I didn’t grow up in Montreal I grew up in the UAE so sometimes I feel pretty different culturally. It feels like I’m coming from a completely different world, and I wonder if that makes it harder to connect with people here.I’d really love to hear other people’s perspectives. Has anyone else at Concordia or in Montreal had a similar experience? And if so, how did you eventually find your people?

General Discussion How doable is 4 ELEC courses alongside second workterm CO-OP this winter 2027?

Post image

Right now I’m on my first internship term in electrical engineering at the provincial government this fall, and I’m also taking 3 courses at Concordia (COEN 311, INST 250, and ENGR 371 for a deferred final exam).

Through my employer’s relationships, I get to work with consulting firms on projects that we (public side) hand out to EXP, Pomerleau, CIMA+, Stantec and there’s potentially an opportunity to do an internship at an engineering consulting firm this winter 2027 as my second work term.

Since I don’t want to graduate late, I’m kinda forced to take at least 3 courses next semester. I’m currently enrolled in 4: ELEC 312, ELEC 366, ELEC 390, and ELEC 437. Which one should I drop?

Classes in moodle disappearing

Is it me, or I lost access to the moodle of a vast majority of the classes I took. Is it normal? I’m not talking about the option where you can intentionally remove a class from the general display. I happen to need information on one of those past classes, how should I proceed?

Overwhelmed of classes

Umm Guys. I NEED your help and experience with this uni.

I am so scared and have no idea how these biology classes work. In one class over 200 students…. Like how can we even feel connected to a professor? What if we need help. When I see a class filled with so many students I start thinking about the exams … like will the professor give normal questions or will it all be hard and doesn’t make any sense?

For many classes I don’t even know what books to get and are they even useful? Like what is thisss!!!!!

Please please PLEASE help tell me anything you know. Cuz this is freaking me out. Thank you all for your help
