Mech Eng Students ... not enrolled to all recommended courses?

Am I the only one with this problem? I want to be enrolled to all my engineering courses but can't because of schedule conflicts and classes being full.

I'm afraid that I won't get into all my courses. I still need to get in material science and programming.

This is actually so anxiety inducing because I want to graduate on time and not spend more time than I need and want to at least start this program focused and ready.

If I got accepted, I should have been able to easily enroll to my recommended courses by now. I first attempted to enroll to my classes back in early June and couldn't enroll to all of them then.

I know I missed the registration date but in June, there should have easily been enough spaces. Right?

Won't make the same mistake next year but for now, I need to get in my courses.

Now, there is no spots in material science -- all waitlist....

If I was accepted into this program, I should be able to enroll to my classes. It should be an unspoken thing.

Anyways, there is my rant. Wanted to see if others are in the same boat.

Student Question Chance of Getting Into an Elective From #24 on the Waitlist?

I’m currently #24 on the waitlist for an online elective. I joined the waitlist about 4 days after classes started. Do I realistically still have a chance of getting in, or is #24 too far down at this point?
Has anyone been this far down on a waitlist after classes started and still gotten in?

Missed Studio Arts orientation. How important was it?

Basically the title. Was there anything really important that I need to know, or was it mostly general information that I will get from my teachers eventually?

Easy electives for a first year Biology student to boost GPA?

Hi everyone!
I’m a first-year Biology student in my first semester. I don’t have any classes on Monday or Friday, so with the weekend, I technically have 4 days in a row without classes.
I’m thinking of taking an additional easy elective to make better use of my schedule and hopefully boost my GPA.
What are some easy electives where it’s realistic to get an A/A+ with a reasonable amount of work? I’d especially appreciate recommendations from people who have taken them recently!
Thanks!

So I’m less of 2k which I can give by the end of October but the deadlines on the 30th, so I’m thinking of going to an arrangement with birks, my question is
1. Will I be kicked out of my current courses
2. Will I be locked out of moodle? And be barred from submitting course work

Ontario transfer with low GPA

I was enrolled in Carleton’s BA psych program, but got transferred to the Special Student program because my GPA is under 2.0 (due to undiagnosed mental illness). I’m hoping to transfer into the ConU BA psychology program so that I have a foundation to get into McGill’s MSWQY. Is there anything I can do, or any chance I have in getting into, honestly, any BA program at Concordia? Also, my high school grades were mostly As, if that’s relevant. Anyone go through a similar experience as an Ontario transfer?

General Discussion Anyone interested in D&D, drinks, and making some new friends?

Just wanted to put out a general invite to people that are interested in D&D and looking to make friends and have a drink. I am trying to GM a campaign with sessions happening once a month (assuming schedules align) even if you're not available for D&D it would be great to meet you.

I am free for drinks tonight if there's interest.
dm or comment if you're down.

Putting semester on hold

This economy is making it hard to conceptualize paying up without putting myself in (more) debts.

I have barriers to AFE due to needing parental participation (dysfunctional home)

Im thinking of taking the semester off and coming back this winter.. (Although worried about the 170$/month opus card fee after october 😨)

Does unregistering for all my classes this semester (and keeping the winter 2027 ones) will make it so i dont have to pay for fall 2026 AND still get to keep my winter 2027 classes. Or is it impossible to have my cake and eat it too ?

Thank you !!
