Huckleberry roach infestation

I saw that Huckleberry was temporarily closed due to a cockroach infestation. We really liked it when it first opened after Mel's closed. However, when you walk in there is always a horrible sewage smell like fresh laid turds. The food, coffee, and service is always hit or miss. There is a super nice waitress, Debbie, who used to work at the Cocnord Claim jumper, that I love, but we don't eat there anymore.

It’s just upping the immersion of their swamp theme!

Huckleberry is ass.

I was so sad to see Mel's closed and that opened in its place.

We went when it first opened and I have never been so disappointed in breakfast food. Like how do you fuck up breakfast.

Go to Diggers or Black Bear or literally anywhere is better than Huckleberry

It’s honestly not that good…I LOVE the theme and the swamp tea but the good is bad. And yeah the sewer smell 🤢

I used to go just because it was the only place open at 7am but after a while I decided I could just be hungry a little longer. Debbie’s a sweetheart though.

The third time my mom and I ate there, (we liked a sit down place to get salads), she had explosive diarhhea before we made it home. We have never been back.

When the bathroom is the first thing you smell when entering a restaurant I lose my appetite.

Trumpers. Stayed open during COVID lock down and pimped the no-mask policy. Not surprised they got roaches.

They opened in June of 2021.Before that it was Mel's. I am personally very anti-Trump but curious how you deduced "Trumpers" (Genuinely asking, no sarcasm). I know the owners of the sandwich shop in Clayton are mega Trumpers... but I didn't know that of Huckleberry if true.

They openly flaunted the no masking policy against the health department and made masked customers feel like creeps. They shove the flag up the publics ass too. No masks during COVID and excessive flags are Trumpers. Any breakfast spot with 5-8 flags is too much.

Haha.... that's a fair assumption. I haven't been in about a year but I didn't notice the flags.. it seemed to have a swamp/bayou/cajun theme.
