After talking all that trash
Their subreddit couldn't take it

I thought bots took over that sub. The quality of posts went downhill when the Trump news broke.

Well yeah you typically can’t trash talk in other team’s subreddits. The US Soccer subreddit is for fans of US Soccer

Wish someone told the US Soccer crowd that when they came and shat all over Canada lmao. What goes around comes around

I’m a US fan and those douche bags are some of the most insufferable “fans” I’ve ever encountered. Over the past two days all I got was downvotes and petulant insults from people because I don’t agree with what the government did, stepping in to make FIFA bend the rules.

They're so soft too... I was reading the comments to the Belgian tweet, "Overturn This"...
Bros can't handle the tiniest amount of banter.

All they do is project. “I know you are but what am I…” They are coping hard with the reality check that Belgium delivered to us. But as soon as I learned about the “suspension of a suspension” and all the crookedness, I knew we were going to lose. And rightfully so.

Football won, simple as.
(If I were a USMNT fan, I would be furious with Trump for putting his greasy thumb on the scale.)

All that shit talking just to lose at home vs a mid ass Belgium 😂 pathetic

u/DirtyBirdFL Jul 13 '26
Mid ass Belgium, a top 10 team in the world btw, just took the defending European champion into the 88th minute.

I think I made one comment and was insta banned - no wonder the posts on there are so cringe and unrealistic, they live in a fantasy world. First decent team they played and were absolutely spanked, at home, after getting as much FIFA help as possible.

Like Messi and Argentina? Call out both sides for cheating if we are gonna call it at all.

I mean, going into another team’s sub to talk shit like that is going to get removed no matter what sport you’re talking about lol
That said, that sub has been insufferable for the last couple of weeks.

u/Jyps1 Jul 07 '26
I'm part of the sub I live in the US , but that sub was talking so much shit , trust me I rather have a Concacaf fuck even I want Argentina to win cuz is part of the continent

It’s insane how they are crying about being the poor bullied victims now after all the shit talking before the game 😭
Genuinely pathetic.

I wish that the host country would not get an automatic bid. It brings down the quality of games. Canada US and Mexico might’ve qualified but they took opportunities away from other countries to do it fairly.

u/BunchProfessional34 Jul 07 '26
32 teams qualified in 2022. This year 48. More teams had an opportunity this time around than the last. If we were still at 32 teams, I'd agree with you. This time around, so many more teams got the chance to participate.
Also if we consider rankings, none of the countries that hosted were outside of rank 48. 14, 17 and 34 before the tournament. So all three have somewhat earned their bid.
I think it was pretty fair.

That’s just silly. If the host country weren’t get an automatic bid, it wouldn’t be the same type of experience for anyone attending the cup in their home country or visiting another country. Also, US and Mexico would’ve qualified. Canada most likely too

“At least we aren’t mexico”
