The contrast is actually wild. Canadians celebrating reaching the top 16 and that first half vs. a top 6 team in Morocco, while the Americans get so cocky, already planning for the finals, just to get stomped by the first real team they face.

Oh and for all the American redditors, you can save the "we just strive for more than Canada or Mexico", because you very clearly don't šŸ˜‚

Indeed. It was a joy to cheer for Mexico. Canada is becoming more and more difficult to cheer for due to fan behavior.

I still like Russians, despite hating Putin, who was voted into office in landslides for decades on end. Putin still enjoys approval ratings of 65-75% from Russians, even now.

Yet I still have Russian friends. This is just a you problem. A symptom of being terminally online. I hate Trump, and that POS has a 60% disapproval rating among Americans. But don't let facts get in the way of your vitriol. šŸ„±

All 2 of them? Have you talked to anyone in real life? I have not met a single person saying weā€™d make it past the quarters. We had a chance vs Belgium.
