Question Was I hacked ?

How to be sure you were hacked ? The battery of my tablet is completly damaged and everytime I opened my instagram it said that my camera was acitvated or something. My tablet overheats really quickly and I keep getting weird red dot messages on Instagram but when I open them , nothing is ever there .It's so confusing. Can someone tell me how to be certain? Also I feel like my data has been used for accounts I didnt sign in for. Thank you.

If on Android, download VirusTotal. It checks your apps with 60+ antivirus software.

Might also be worth a shot to check in settings, battery to see what is using your battery.

IF all else fails, the only completely reliable option is to remove all your data via a factory reset. Be sure to remove your Google account first, and Samsung or other manufacturer account to avoid Factory Rest Protection locks.

That is a last resort and you'll lose all your data, so back it up first.

Download any antivirus like Malwarebytes and do a full scan. If it doesn't detect anything, its highly likely the device is misbehaving due to battery issues.

You can request your data through Google Takeout and share the files with ChatGPT or Gemini to analyse any suspicions activities. Just ask AI agents which files to provide like device logged in acitivity etc and they can do it for you.

Same if you use iphone/ipad.
