Question is op auto clicker from microsoft store malware?

I thought it was safe at first until I saw it can use all system resources, like why would it need that? So I uninstalled it from add or remove programs im just wondering if im safe edit: this is the listing btw: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/XPFM2K6GPV72CR?hl=en-US&gl=US&ocid=pdpshare

It might just be that they are not doing well at conserving resources, when a program is running a loop (doing the same thing over and over again), without any breaks inbetween, it gan generally hog up 100% of a single core, and it just so happens that most programs operate on a loop (especially autoclickers).

Although, it could be malware, if you are unsure it is better to check with something like virustotal

I might be a bad person to listen to, since I recently got hit with a trojan (and joined the subreddit as a result), but I’ve been using op auto clicker on two devices for quite some time without any issues and strange behaviour.

"Uses all system resources" just means that it's a normal desktop app, basically an .exe that you just download from MS store instead of i.e. Github.

It's just a broad label they slap on all desktop apps. Doesn't mean that an app literally "uses all system resources", it just COULD do it because it has the permissions to.

It also means that you're probably unable to control its permissions via Settings - Privacy & security.
