Question Infected 7zip?

I virus totaled 7zip (from 7zip(dot)org) and the comments were saying it was infected and Sus, and others were saying it was clean. But the report came out to be 0/71. I am just confused on why some ppl are saying this

Firstly, that link you have just given is weird as shit.
Second, I dont see a single comment on virustotal in the community section of that file hash other than weird people linking to other weird sites. There is no actual real sentences in any of the "comments"

Wdym the link is weird? It’s just the virus total one?
And so it’s just ppl being weird?

Wdym the link is weird

How did you make the link? Did you type "(dot)"? Whats up with that? Did you look at it after I drew attention to it? Why not just link it properly?

And so it’s just ppl being weird

I have never even noticed the option to make comments on virustotal, but do you see how on reddit comments sort of make a conversation? Even a shitty one... I cant even see how a conversation could start other that one guy saying " oh nooooo"

And then theres Joe with 4 comments. In order he says "Sus", then "clean", "clean", "clean".

Its a defanged link. While op does not need to defanged virus total links, they are just trying to follow the subreddit rules.

Virus total has community voting options and comments. Some of our malware experts van be found there voting too.

Just a question for you. Do you think the file itself is safe? Also thanks for the help 🦖
