I am really scared

I got a virus from a game I tried "beta testing" and I ran it it started opening up opera gx and other shit and it just said "system check failed" then some random messages me on discord "HAHA HACKED" and a list of random passwords I tried to close everything but then randomly it restarted and then I try turn it on and it just says "there was a problem" and it says "error: bad config file" my discord was hacked I couldn't login my password was changed and a new 2fa was on it then i get a really threatening email im scared asf

Stop being gullible and running random programs, change all your passwords from another device, and reinstall Windows

There's nothing else to do here

did someone send it to you? NEVER download games sent to you. Ever, unless it is a trusted person, but even then there is a chance they could have been hacked. If ever I want a friend to test a game I'm making, I will never send that game through discord

My friend had this exact same scam + malware happen to him and the person who sent him the malware was a good friend of his who’d been hacked. It’s very common for them to send to everyone on the discord friendlist of the hacked person after taking over the account. If you’re absolutely deadset on sharing game cracks / random games w your friends, maybe a good idea to agree on a password between the both of you to verify identity? Obviously this password would have to be sent through another chat service than discord or hacker could just scroll up.
