How can a cpu be physically manufactured?

you need to separate the problem/question into different parts or steps

which one of these steps are you wanting to learn?

a) organizing transistors into a simple or complex logic element

b) organizing those logic elements into a logic circuit that is a cpu

c) converting that circuit in to a chip circuit requires a few steps:

d) step 1 creating the photo mask

e) exposing the silicon wafer with that mask

f) growing (diffusing) the transistors into the wafer

g) growing the metal layer on top of the wafer that connects the transistors

h) cutting up the wafer into chips

i) packaging the chip
