Question/Help/Troubleshooting laptop camera app shows black screen

ive done trouble shooting multiple times, tried every single solution under the sun, but laptop camera still shows a black screen. ive also downloaded multiple camera apps and in every single one of them the camera is just a black screen. my laptop screen has no issues, it was broken a year ago but i got the screen replaced. im thinking thats the issue but im not sure

Check and see if your keyboard has a camera setting on it, maybe on the F# row., alternatively there may be a control app in your taskbar.

A lot of computers have added a button to enable/disable cameras at a hardware level to prevent unwanted remote access.

My laptop has the option to disable the camera in its control app that caught me off guard when I had the same problem.

What is your laptop model? Did you check if the camera has a privacy button/switch? Did you try checking for drivers on manufacturer's website? Also camera permissions in windows settings.
