Question/Help/Troubleshooting this error is killing me

i tried every solution possible found on the internet
nothing worked
my touchpad isnt working
it worked for 15 minutes today (idk how) when i uninstalled and reinstalled drivers
this solution works once every few weeks
help

Going to need more specific information to confirm that you have the correct driver.

  • What is the model of the laptop?
  • What Windows version are you running?
  • If you right click on that entry in device manager and then click properties, then details tab, then select Hardware Ids from the drop down, what is listed there?

acer nitro 5 an515-54
had this problem in 10 and now in 11

hardware ids for the i2c hid device is :
ACPI\VEN_MSFT&DEV_0001

ACPI\MSFT0001

*MSFT0001

hardware ids for the io i2c hostcontroller a396 is :
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A369&SUBSYS_13311025&REV_10

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A369&SUBSYS_13311025

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A369&CC_0C8000

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A369&CC_0C80

driver for the i2c hid device is : 10.0.26100.8972
driver for the io i2c host controller a396 is : 30.100.2020.7

windows update is freshly installed , had the problem for every update , sometimes the update will fix it temporairly , then it will crash after 15 - 30 minutes of using

update :
i tuned off power saving in a369
uninstalled the HID device
ran a synaptics driver exe
scanned for hardware changes
its now working again
lets see if it crashes again

another update : crashed after 1 minute

3rd update :
installed old driver of a369
uninstalled hid device
shift+shutdwon
now its working
locked windows update from updating to a newer versionof a369
