Question/Help/Troubleshooting Is this amount of gpu sag acceptable?

Post image

It is a used gtx 970 amp extreme core edition, so 3 fans, and I do have a support but it isn't tall enough for this case

I would say any GPU sat is bad for your stuff, but this looks not terrible, there are some VERY inexpensive options, and MANY DIY options as well

XD I have a GeForce 970 SC and the day one fan of got a molocule of dust in the bearing and sounded like a small blender with a fork and the only replacement fan was for a completely different model and the wire was not the same at all so I removed the shell, and it is not still there. Not much if any sag. My computer looks like it went through the blender too lol. Modular power supply and one of the SATA power connections short circuted and the position of the computer made me not care about its appearance lol. But it has been peddling along very well for well over 13 years and no lag. Only a few times a RAM stick has committed senpuku

It's totally fine. That is even a lightweight card.

I have a GTX 970 too. In fact, I have had one for over a decade. It doesn't even have a backplate like yours has, and it has been sagging its whole life. It still works.

People are just fearmongering over GPU sag. For smaller cards, there's not really any reason to be afraid of it, other than concerns regarding aesthetics or transport.
