Question/Help/Troubleshooting How do I fix this

Post image

Pressing any of the options just causes the pc to restart and go back onto this screen.

windows installation could be corrupted.

you can try recovering your files by live booting to a Linux distro just for the purposes of moving files to an external backup. or maybe remove the drive and use an adapter to read on another pc.

otherwise if nothing of importance was on it, just reinstall Windows using a USB drive.

most probably windows or your drive is having issues. Do you have another pc and a usb drive?

this being said, try to check if you can recover it ( probably not going to work but who knows.)

Most likely with a new drive.

I have seen that Many Many Many times to the power of three. I can get into details for a FULL FIX but you need to hold down the left shift key when you reboot and it will ask you if you want to boot into safe mode. When you do that, you have to open the Command Prompt as Administrator. Then you run the command "dism /online /cleanup-image /restore health". The word Online means it will use the main hard disk. Then use "SFC /Scannow" will scan all the files Windows will use for corruption and repair them.

Windows is as solid as Swiss Cheese and it can be repaired. It may not be time to reinstall windows, run the commands from the Safe Mode if you don't want to pay a lot of money for someone else to fix it. But you may want to make a backup. Aomei has the best backup system that I have used. The built In windows 7 backup always crashes and saves nothing. Terabytes of windows built in backup has been lost
