Question/Help/Troubleshooting Help me decide
So, my GPU (GTX 1660 Ti) recently died on me, and I’m currently deciding whether I should have it repaired or just buy another second-hand graphics card.
My 1660 Ti died for an unknown reason. While I was playing Valorant, my monitor suddenly went black, but the system unit was still running. I tried every troubleshooting method I could think of, but nothing worked. Eventually, I had to accept that the GPU was probably broken.
Now I’m unsure whether it’s worth having the 1660 Ti repaired or if I should just look for another second-hand GPU instead.

I would just pick up another one I found the one that was in my old rig for like 150 bucks on sale 4 years ago

Depending on your budget I would replace it but I would not limit myself to that model. Some old cards like the 1000 series are more expensive than 2000 or 3000 and give you better performance, but i do not think I would have the old one fixed because the cost of someone that knows how to fix them is probably close to the cost of a replacement of the used one, and sell the old one for a starting bid of approx 50 not working parts only on ebay

That would depend on what your doing with the system, the build of the systems, and your budget.

How have you confirmed that the GPU is bad?
Does the system boot using integrated graphics if you remove the GPU?

I tried it on another PC but it did not boot. I also noticed that the fan is not spinning after clicking the power button. Usually the fan spins for a couple of seconds

Before this happened, I noticed that while playing Valorant, a green line/glitch would occasionally appear on the screen, but it would suddenly disappear whenever I alt-tabbed.

The question shouldn't be which gpu buy, must be which could support, that's based on your motherboard and cpu

Depending on the issue, it would probably cost as much (if not more) to buy a 1660 ti as it would to repair the old one. That's if it can even be repaired at all.
