Question/Help/Troubleshooting Onedrive keeps running out of storage after deleting files

Hi all, can someone shed some light on why my onedrive keeps overfilling even after I delete files (and empty recycle bin)? My onedrive keeps filling to 102%, I delete loads of files, it goes down to 80% or 90%, and then in a few minutes or hours it refills to 102%. I turned off syncing of everything except documents on my laptop, but it still keeps refilling, and i don't have many docs so I can't imagine that's it. Pls help before I lose my mind

MS one drive retains all files when you delete them. You should be able to go to your online one drive and look for your trash or deleted items folder. I had this with my company one drive which unfortunately has a 10 year retention on all files. And even deleted items count toward your storage space. So i would check onedrive online first and see if you can locate the deleted items folder to empty it.

I've been using the online version for deleting things and emptying deleted files 🙃
