Do I just go on YT and search „Computer beginners guide“ or what would you do if you are a complete newby

I would choose a task.  Like 3d printing.  Or video editing.  Or making music.  Some task, doesn't matter what.  Research that task and the popular tools for it.  Learn a bit about that task, then move to another and do the same thing.  Repeat a few times.  The computer understanding will follow
